on something unrelated from the religion aspect, but when he does the hook for lust, does nobody else hear this particular lyric different?

As blood rush my favorite vein

does this not come across like "blood that's my family/favorite red" ? it's the only aspect of the hook that isn't clear & precise

also the titles if read consecutively = Blood. DNA. Yah (your). Element. Feel. Loyalty. Pride. Humble. Lust. Love. XXX. Fear. God. Duckworth

now that could either be for blood, or back to my original guess of Spiritual talk & the album being played backwards....

Blood. DNA. Your. Element. = the black/brown minorities Being the original Israelites that he mentions on the album. God is literally in our DNA (Part 3)
Feel. Loyalty. Pride. Humble. Lust. Love. XXX = the trial & tribulations of man that help lend to the fear of failing your god & the option to choose right or wrong (Part 2)
Fear. God. Duckworth = We enter this world with the thought that religion controls all, so we fear not satisfying our God & being sent to damnation. However at the End of duckworth he emphasizes the need of the soul and free will in decisions (Hence Top not robbing the KFC led to him becoming the K.dot we know now, Top makes the opposite decision and all could be lost for everyone(Part 1)

Again this is all speculation but i'm pretty familiar with Kendrick as an artist and this isn't to far off from some of the views he's shared in the past. This could all be hooplah, but i love the fact that he can deliver a project that leads to me not just bumpin my head & disposing of it. I like that artist can draw interest enough for me to actually think of what's not listed in clear view.

I thought I was the only one who thought that about the song titles.

went back and put this on

(only other song 9th and kendrick on)

I didn't know Murs and Kendrick were on a song together. So much of GKMC reminds me of Murs 3:16.. I give the edge to Murs in terms of being a better story teller though.

no thread derail but check this song out if you want to peep Murs' storytelling ability.
