**Official Kendrick Lamar Thread 4th Studio Album ''DAMN.''Out Now**

Man the production on for sale, And the overall execution is flawless. It's such an eery song, yet it leers you in. It reflects so much with the content and that's what makes a great track regardless of the topic.

Now baby when I'm riding here I'm riding dirty
Registration is out of service
Smokin', lokin', drinking the potion you can see me swerving
Cause I....

I always get seduced by bangers on my first few listens so Alright has been geting abused. That **** goes HARD.

Admittingly, I skipped through the first halve but, now I'm properly listening to Alright. That **** is good too. More of a conventional flow that I prefer.

in your own words

what message do you get from this album?

Chronicling (And recapping) his rise to where he's at now, getting sidetracked from all the fame & success and finding himself after going through all the drama he went through.

+1

and to also add

What I got from it is life is complicated enough being your verage person but can become even more when you reach a certain status in life...we spend our lives trying to figure out who we are and can get lost in the process.

and sometimes when you reach a higher status there becomes a time when you want to invest opportunity for something better for your culture and the better in general and that can become a large burden that you may not be ready to handle or even want to.

but even when you finally gain that confidence to want that responsibility, now you're trying to figure whats the answer...how do we continue to move forward and progress on a larger scale

So im listening more and getting more into the albums

Definitely reminds me of the themes from Born Sinner.

Had to make best buy get it out of the back. I don't even think target picked up this album. It's not even on their site. Smh. Numbers could be so much better.

As someone that only buys CDs and LPs and I buy music often, it's not making much of an impact. A very low percentage of music sales are physical CDs. I would guess he's missing 20K at the most. Most people that want to buy it, just settle for iTunes to support.

Yall are so wrong. Cd sales are still about 50% of total sales. And as I stated with artist with cult like followings like Kendrick it's probably even more of a factor.

257 million albums sold last year 140.8 million were physical cds.

9.2 million Vinyls sold last year

I think his 2nd week numbers will tell how much of a factor the physical copies are.

i know more people that still buy physical movies than cds

Any songs similar to the second half of U? I love that part and I know there's a few songs that are similar, just not recalling the names. Would love to listen to something similar. Feels so much like Eminem.
