**Official Kendrick Lamar Thread 4th Studio Album ''DAMN.''Out Now**

I think they're speaking in general how the Grammys have never taken the genre seriously. K. Dot never needed validation from anything he takes his craft more seriously than anyone out right now. The accolades if they come are only icing on the cake because everyone knows the quality of his projects is second to none.

Exactly

Trivial?

Since when did the competiveness in hip hop become trivial? Y'all ****** bugging. And not because you disagree with me, but because y'all really don't see how that drives a lot of the culture.

No shots though.

I get what you're saying but it seems like his music was headed in this direction anyway.

^^ I agree
People were arguing if GKMC is a classic 1st day out.
Getting labelled the best rapper of the out by most editorials.
Going Plat and selling out shows.
Just getting nominated for a grammy was enough ( of course cats wanna win)
DUde had all the attention on his next move, and instead of doing a basic rap
GKMC follow up, dude took the world attention and pressed it up against his
black skin to show what he was really made of.

That takes a level of bravery, moxy, and faith that those who just love music in general
wont care how many 808s are in the song or will understand the content in the message
and not get hung up on the past offerings but appreciate the present for what it is.

He said he wanted to do this kind of music for good kid mad city but he wasn't confident enough

Crazy

hearing that comment and looking at the path he is heading just reminds me too much of Andre 3000

its a good thing because 3000 is always appreciated

its a bad thing because I wanna see Kendrick follow his own path

At least we can probably count on Kendrick consistently making full projects.

If we dont get CDQ again

This man is ridiculous.  He has all my props.  Thank you Kendrick for actually caring about art!

What if these "Untitled" track are actually compose of an album that will be release years later after its said and done.

I bet there's probably gonna be like "Untitled: 7, 8 thru 12... something like that.

I know this is off topic but have any of you heard Kendrick Lamar's Black Friday song?  Also if you have what do you think about it?

Yes,

He went hard.. Like on Dre's COMPTON album.

Kendrick heard the critics and he delivered.
