These god dam ads. I have to force quit my browser every single time one of these video ads comes up, completely freezes the entire internet every time they play. I've updated my browsers, tried different browsers, update adobe flash, uninstalled browsers and reinstalled them. Yet I need to force quit every other page cause of these ridiculous ads. It's to the point I can't even use it anymore. I know this isn't the first thread made about this and this will likely get locked but it needs to be known the user experience here is being ruined for many.

I mean do you need a 50 second commercial ad to be played every single page? You can't just have the banners and pictures? Seems counter intuitive to display ads that freeze the whole internet to the point if i wanted to click on the ad and buy whatever junk they are advertising I couldn't even do that.

Ad block???

Seriously. It's the first thing I downloaded on my new laptop after my browsers. For those poor souls that didn't know about it, here you go...

I know this is frowned upon and if I'm not gonna contribute directly to the site the least I could do is allow for some ads to pay the bills. However, if the ads are to the point I can't even use the site, literally at all, then something needs to be done.

Just downloaded it, hopefully it solves the issue.

And yeah, mobile is perfectly fine. Just a hassle to make longer posts or posts with pictures in them on a cellphone keyboard. These are desktop/laptop problems only.

Im with you op.

Every single time I log in, my fans inside my tower start going crazy.. Its like Im holding the gas pedal down while in park.

Im ok with ads, but not cool with videos.

Is there a way to turn them off from autoplay??

OP I feel you 1000000%. Went through the same damn thing.

I don't mind ads, but those friggin video ads slowed my browser down soooooo much to the point I had to close the window & refresh in the hope that a different, non-video ad would be there, and that hardly ever worked.

:smh:

I use NT mobile on my Galaxy S5 and Internet Explorer when i'm on NT at work so I havent run into this problem. My work comp blocks all that extra BS so I guess thats the gift, the curse is not being able to see youtube clips.

NT crashed my browser probably 2-3 times a day.

I keep the ads and click on them every once in a while to get NT some ad revenue though

Thanks.

No more vids now :pimp:

Before I installed this just a few minutes ago adobe would always crash on my browser and slow everything down too. I also updated all the adobe plugins and etc yet it still crashed.

Meth will come in here with about three paragraphs or so that will somehow tell us that the problem is being fixed, insult us in some subtle way, all the while uplifting us as an eCommunity.

Try typing in the browser: https://www.youtube.com

works for me at my job that "blocks" youtube. Funny thing is I can't click on certain threads on NT, like if it has the word "MOVIE" or "TV" in the title of the thread, my job blocks it lol
