Air Jordan 5 Retro- White/Metallic Silver Releasing April 4, 2015

now that I think abiout it, $200+ for a white shoe that will get dirty easily, think im gonna pass too. I can either save that money or buy a pair i really like and know ill wear a lot

glad to see that so many of you are passing, i've wanted these since a youngin. let them get yellow as piss, ill still wear them to death
 
Dope. But idk how much id want them. Plus so much other stuff coming out next year I'm sure these would be an easy grab since most people will past. Don't like that the sock liner looks a bit dirty already.

That's how I feel, well kind of. I mean, I love the colorway and how it looks in picture's, especially if they come out to be true to the original form. But I'm debating whether I want to spend over $200 on a primarily white based shoe (same issue with the Columbia 11's). If the Black Metallic 5's were releasing instead, it would be an easy decision.
 
Maybe I'm just being picky here, but why is the shape and tongue soooo off?

I thought "remastered" retros, in this case the 5's, were supposed to be better than what we have been receiving these past years. 

I'm a person who loved the 5's shape from the early 2000's and I really get pissed every time I see these new 5's! I thought "remastered" meant at least having a better shape than the 5's of 2013 similar to these from '08 

I don't see how anyone can be fine with the way these look or that $200 Price tag.

Shape was always a complaint that was damn near just as present as leather quality though.

They implied that they would hit on both cylinders and only one is looking like a strong possibility, so people are discussing that.

It's all perspective. To you, we're too picky. To us, maybe you're too easily finessed out of your money. Neither side is right.
 
^^^ exactly, the shape is horrible. I bought grapes and laneys last year. When i finally decided to rock one i took it off and sold both. Things felt like boots. I'm swapping my 99s and I'm good on 5s
 
I realize it is hard to determine leather quality from a picture but that leather looks very similar to the leather(?) on the recent Laney V's. Hopefully that isn't the case as that material was terrible.

Perhaps, but the quality of the Laney's was still above both versions of the Fire Reds, along with the Grapes.
