Alright I've only ever purchased cars before but I'm looking to lease an m235i xDrive; I don't want to purchase it.

Do you negotiate based on actual car price or what? Experiences would help; I'm a ruthless negotiator at the dealer but I wanna be prepared because I'm a virgin

And I know some NTers might be sad to hear this but I sold the Evoque

M3 or da Hemi son

"Sold DA Evoque"

I actually saw one on the street today and commented on how much I liked how much I liked the way it lo

Sorry to be a downer but do you have your financial ish together?

Just asking cuz I walk by the projects every day and see fresh off the lot mercedes, bmw, audi, even saw a porsche 911 once.

You might argue its drug money or people with legitimate jobs just living for cheap in the projects but they too would fall under the category of not having their financial ish together.

Its a 235, not a 7 series. If I'm not mistaken, payments are around $400/most.

Stllin is a regular here and I think he has his stuff together.

drug money, bruh.

This sparks the question though...

What is the ratio of car expense to living expense?

:nerd:

IMO a vehicle should not exceed 20-25% of someones annual income, but I'm sure many will argue this. ... Especially on NT.

I thought all NTers paid for their cars cash.
Dudes talkin bout they don't want interest so they just lay out 25k.

It's not social pressure; I want one car I'm moving back into the city

It is. Plus you leasing, so you ain‘t owning. More so, you buying those fake, 1, xq, 4 series hybrid ones, so it dont matter. Take the Bus. Why u gotta lease?

Lease a Honda before you lease a BMW. but you aint owning, so think bout that

why everybody always gotta be a drug dealer?

Right? Cats in the hood crack cards too. nah I'm joking. I'd comment, but my GS is parked in a residential lot with empty shopping carts in it, so I'm not in a position to talk ****

To the OP, it works like this: you find the car you want and start negotiating on it. Do not tell them you want to lease initially, as this will affect the amount of money they'll have you pay monthly.

After you get the car down to an acceptable price, tell them you'd like to lease the vehicle. The amount owed on the lease (for x months) is based on the sale price that you agree on, so a lower final price = lower monthly payment.

Good luck. I really wanted that M235i but Sallie Mae won't let me be great :frown:

I don't like downers and people worrying about other living situations like you about to help them anyway. Even if he is budget balling are you going to help with the payments or just get on the high horse?

Go away

stillin729 stillin729 go to the other leasing thread and propose this question, I lease a 5 series right now but I'm a bad person to ask this question because I'm lazy. I did all the negotiating by email. Just told dude "I want a lease for this amount and only pay TTL OTD" .. dude quoted me like $625, never responded, and he wrote back a week later agreeing to my price

I been talking with a BMW dealer, you should get a good deal on the 2014 since BMW is looking to get rid of them.

I'm looking at a 2014 3 series sports edition. Your note should be below $400 as someone else pointed out.
