Seems like jay NEEDS his wife in order to stay relevant........vol. TAE BO H**

Anyways....... My number one concern regarding this project is that it would be too much Beyonce, just like the concert. The concert was really 60-40 in Beyonces favor with all the songs she did and the interludes. There were some songs that he usually does at concerts that I didnt even get to hear

. I'm hoping for like 2-3 songs where its just him on it, asking for more than that is asking for too much.

Not really a Jay fan to begin with but a joint album with Beyonce? Nah I'm good.

There is not a single Beyonce song or feature that I can stand listening to, much less enjoy it.

May consider listening to a Hov only version if a project like this ever releases.

The joint album will be each of their worst album.

It's marketing genius though. It'll sell well and at this point, Bey is more famous than Jay. That's good business.

However, MCHG was terrible. The only Jay album worse was Kingdom Come. Actually, maybe not...the intro on Kingdom Come might be better than Picasso Baby...in which case, KC is better.

Beans isn't better than Jay. Beans had his day...it has long ago passed. Beans at his prime wasn't better than Jay at his prime.

And I'm still waiting on the Beans/ Jada "Kiss the Mack" album.

I've died twice in this damn rocking chair.

Real talk
He is still does numbers and all that cause of his past
Not cause he currently is killing it with his music
None of his stuff past black album is even listenable
Pure trash music
I admit he has a cool verse here and there
But so did Dylan
Do u think U2 sells out arenas because of their current music? Hell they put out an album for free on itunes and people couldn't wait to delete that ****. U work hard for decades to be in the position where your relevance isn't based on your current song. With that being said I think this album may be a bit too much.

KC better than MCHG lol come on son go fix your ears. saying that album is trash is beyond disrespect smh

Beyoncé is more famous than Jay Z at this point probably but marrying him definitely helped raise her profile more so than she helped raise his. At least in my opinion.

Inb4....

Damn I thought MCHG was pretty good, but now dudes is putting it in line with Kingdom Come

MCHG didn't have any replay though I noticed it's like it came and went and was the hot thing at the moment and I haven't listened to it since then.

But, I wouldn't put it in the same boat as Kingdom Come.

Regarding this album I don't see how it is bad for business... it's going to do numbers, make them richer, and spawn off hits that will be on the radio day and night... win/win for them and every other outlet that makes money off of them.

It's not debatable. Beyonce is definitely more famous than Jay.

Kingdom Come might be worse than MCHG. Not sure which is worse. They're both AWFUL albums and should have never been released.

MCHG decent tracks - Picasso, the two short songs, and BBC (kinda, sorta...I expect MUCH better on a Nas/Jay collab track...Especially if Pharrell is doing the beat).

KC decent tracks - The Prelude (which might be my fave Jay intro of all albums, which is saying A LOT), I Made It, Beach Chair, Minority Report.

The fact that 2 of the 4 good songs on MCHG are less than 1 minute, the edge might go to KC. Neither album is good though.

What Jay albums are worse than MCHG?

Man, BBC was the worst  but supposedly they did that track after coming from the club and were just f'ing around, which it clearly sounds like.

And agreed about MCHG being a came and went type album. To me it was pretty good based on it dropping out of nowhere, and be being underwhelmed by so many Jay projects in a row before that. I guess my expectations were lowered to the point to where I was shocked there were even any good songs on there in the first place.

MCHG had a few songs I liked, little to no replay value though. Definitely not as bad as KC.

I don't know how you would qualify or quantify that sort of thing.

But let's be real. When they got married, it was "how the **** this dude do this"?

Not the other way around.

Were their respective levels of fame ever a part of that though? Serious question, cause I know all I ever heard was that "shes beautiful and he looks like a camel, how did he pull this off"

Jay has made two GREAT business decisions.

1. Retiring and calling his "final" album a classic. People bought it up and called it a classic. It made the demand much higher than the supply. At that point, no matter what quality of music he put out, it would sell and be deemed great music.

2. Marrying Beyonce. He was big but she is and was one of the biggest artists at that time. That keeps his name right beside her name. If they split, Beyonce stays where she is and Jay would see a drop in fan base and sales.

Of course their levels of fame was a part of that. She was an incredibly famous, incredibly beautiful woman.

Which boosted his fame exponentially.

If he had just married a random hot chick, would anyone have cared?

She was already a Pop star at that point.
