Bruh, Arlington, Anadale, Alexandria, all them joints was crazy 10 years ago with the gangs. They weren't messing with regular folks, but the violence was scary enough bruh. Want to know why its cleaned up? They forced the immigrants out of the areas. Old apartment complex that used to be for poor families is now 2 bed room condos for yuppies who work right in Arlington or DC.  Errrrrrr thang is expensive out the butt now. Bruh the old PBS building don turned into a mini SF with all the new development.

Born and raised in PG (live there now) and have worked in Arlington for the last year. There aren't a plethora of black women in NOVA. There is very minimal urban culture in NOVA. I've been to numerous HH and night spots with coworkers and it doesn't exist.

You can ask pretty much any dude from PG and DC (mid to late 20s) and the only reason we would even venture to VA would be for the p who we would actually happen to meet in DC.

None of that means that NOVA isn't a safe and respectable place to live. It's just not for me. I can get the same living standard in parta of PG, Moco, or DC (but it's OC expensive).

I'm telling you right now, Arlington was not crazy 10 years ago crime-wise. It was, and still is, VERY safe. And FWIW, you still have a heavy immigrant population off of Columbia Pike, and near Ballston (Buckingham).

I don't know if it was you that said it, but there wasn't a big MS-13 influence in Arlington. Now, you wanna talk near suburbs near Dulles or in Manassas....then you got another story.

Bruh, NOVA is perfect. You can live 20 minutes from DC, have a nice house, raise your family the best counties in THE WORLD, and live great. THE AMERICAN DREAM is IN NOVA

I grew up in Arlington its never been really bad crime there. 10 years ago would be 2004, I was there then.

Bruh, NOVA is perfect. You can live 20 minutes from DC, have a nice house, raise your family the best counties in THE WORLD, and live great. THE AMERICAN DREAM is IN NOVA

It is a great area, no denying that. I'm living in a boring area (Loudoun County), so hopefully if I get my own place I can be somewhere more livelier in the area.

But really, I just miss home more than anything. :lol:

I know from your statements in this this thread that you aren't from here. DC was not nicknamed chocolate city for no reason. PG isn't known as the most affluent black population in the nation for no reason. You can't tell anyone from here that there are a lot of black people in NOVA. We have lived here and are apart of the local black culture. We have seen this area change over the years. There are absolutely are some black people in NOVA but there is not a dense black population. I can rattle off numerous places in DC, PG, and even Moco where it does exist (bars, clubs, other social scenes). I know for a fact you can't name too many. I'm done though...there's football on.
 
at this point i think fam is just trollin for da lulz, we all know damn well NoVa aint nothin compared to dc and pg, and even moco when it comes to black women

Not sure what the #'s are now, but it is WELL known that PG county was the most affluent county w/ a predominately african-american population.

U straight up trollin if you're debating that.
