Yo realtalk, New York may be the worst city ever

the "6". I hate how people are calling Toronto the 6...

only young teens who rock OVO owl t-shirts call it the 6.

I was born & raised in NY & now I'm in TX but I've heard time and time again that Cali & LA is the move, knew a few cool shorties from there too.

Is it really worth moving to & living? What's so great about LA, I'm curious lol

Its warm..most of the time. What more do you need to know?

certain streets of manhattan, as well as homeless persons, have legendary funk. walk down east 33rd from herald sq past the empire st bldg. smells serious. chinatown in july? its a wrap for your nose b. and when its rush hour and that F train pulls up all crowded n ****....except for that one empty train car. :smh: you already know what awaits inside.

nyc honestly is an old crumbling gotham that ironically is expensive as hell. the subway system is literally falling apart...literally....at this point the MTA is just doing 24/7 patch work, and from an engineering standpoint, i doubt they can really do much more than that.

madison square garden needs to be rebuilt at a new location, because penn station is a **** hole, but so is the port authority bus terminal.

the roads are ****. the BQE is a lifetime construction project, the tolls are thru the roof....GWB is like $20 i think. and overall the city isn't designed for the current population.

anything to improve the city is always caught up in political bs...

still tho, city offers anything and everything, albeit at a high price.

still want to xperience chi town and cali....and seattle.

Nah bro, not yet at least.

It's going to go up a dollar on 2015, so it will stay at $15 to cross the NJ/NY crossings for the time being until they have another "raise hike" in a few years I'm sure. :rolleyes

Paying the GWB toll when you literally go one exit for Giants games are the worst

6 train water pump break this weekend messed up my whole commute home yesterday :smh:

Being able to wear basketball shorts in December outside in la beats ny cold sucks ***

..the ppl, the cold ...la is better...
the only ppl who think ny is all that is ppl who live there...got a big ego for nothing....

lol @ 90% of new Yorkers thinking they have any effect on anything.

Dudes say "us" ... Nah

You ain't doing **** for America, b.
New York Stock Exchange is the largest domestic equity market in the WORLD. Wall Street is the financial center for the United States. Most businesses are headquartered here, the United Nations is headquartered here, most of the United States' profit is generated through ad revenue right in Times Square.

We have the nation's best public transportation system, the most diversity, best skyline, every celebrity worth talking about most likely was born here or lives here now. Our film department has made some of the best cinema known to civilization. Our food is the best, and it's the premiere destination for anyone visiting America. I can talk about US all day...the list is long.

Secondly, you don't know what I do for a living or what impact my work has on the United States. You live in Dallas Texas, only thing you're known for is killing John F. Kennedy and being the childhood city of Dennis Rodman.

you don't work for NYSE or Wall street... And even then, Wall street corruption was the reason behind the economic crash due to greed.

4 of the top 11 companies on the fortune 500 list are located in Texas... New York doesn't get there until 16 with Verizon, and that's really New Jerseys company...

More and more companies are actually shifting their headquarters to Texas. Its a growing trend, bruh. (Several articles state this)

Everything else you said is objective... (We have the best food? Really?) . Or comes from OUTSIDE influence.

Film? Cool, you got that. I'm not big on film, and even though I think that nod should go to Hollywood California... I'll toss you a bone.

Not from dallas, bruh.... Just living here.

You lost.

I said the top 10% percent the rest of new Yorkers are riding on their coat tails.

THEY'RE the ones that make the city awesome, not you.

NY is pricing out all the common folk anyway...

If you want to be in finance, its the place to be...

Outside of that... There are several alternatives that are cheaper with nicer people, less ****** transportation, and less congestion

Are you implying that Texas is better than NYC

nah.

NYC is cool...

Just not leaps and bound better than every where else.

I think it's a tie between LA, NY, and Houston...

Chicago would be up there but the winter time is tough.

Whatever you saw breh, just know Brooklyn is becoming the NEW silicone valley, again you have no idea what my profession is, or how I impact New York. Secondly why would you diss New York as being the financial center, then pride Texas' Fortune 500's? You're lost breh.

Are you mad because you live in Dallas in with no options orr you can't afford New York?

i can show you 4 articles that says brooklyn is nowhere near the top... but it's actually midwestern cities that are the best cities for startups.

didn't i just say it was the place to be if you're in finance. I'm in finance, dude. If you are in finance, it's the place to be. but let's not act like wall street is perfect. they are greatly flawed as well.

and there are other cities for high end finance. Chicago is the home of trade... SF has a really strong IB market... Houston leads in energy

you brought up all the headquarters... and i simply countered that with facts, and the fact that more and more companies are moving to the south, texas in particular, due to its economy, tax benefits, labor force and space.

and you're really taking pride that you spend more money for the same thing as a person does in Florida, Philly, or Nevada?

yeah.. that's a badge of honor...

"'yo man... these SBs cost $80 in the store.. but i got them off ebay for like... $300'... that's not cool"

confirm with a capital C, fambily...

dead ***, houston is rivaling Atlanta when it comes to fine *** black wimmiez...

and after venturing out of the state + confirmation from NTers and friends... the white wimmiez are indeed donkin' out here...

we dont have the mix of races like NY has, though... NY is a broad range different ethnicities.

I repped this for touching on the stock exchange but you need to google the definition for "most"

New York my favorite place in the world but I have to admit

No city touches this Skyline. NYC currently has about 12(I think) supertalls under construction. 2 of them made by Chicago architects, and 2 of them taller than the Sears tower. I think that's dope.

When you are walking around tho, NYC > Chicago. Something about the city is mesmerizing. Skyline wise Chicago > Any other city.

Still hate it here tho

Kids disrespcting history. Pay attention in school. NY is the financial capital of thr world. They took the title from London. Now, somewhere in China, maybe Shanghai will be the next.

Still, NY is probably one, if not the most iconic city ever.
