Yo realtalk, New York may be the worst city ever

no the worst city ever title belongs to Rome...pigdeons, literal street cats (thousands of feral cats), gypsies, along with those dirty crusty ruins

What's wrong with gypsies? My friend said he met someone in grad school that had a deep hatred for them.

They like steal and what not to get by. Most cliche thing about them is they are all thieves and love to beg, fraud and/or extort people for money.

Awesome, another erroneous generalization for people to rail on. I guess it's that time of the month again for it to happen

So ****** overrated. Like everything about it sucks. One thing, these entitled little douchebagz who roam the streets with their beats by dre rapping obnoxiously

then the smell. Like stale urine :x  . Rats on every corner. Pigeons being aggressive
the filthy bums who ride the trains. The Knicks being terrible. Not being able to catch a cab when needed. ****** sucks

The NY hate

NY is trash tho whether you like it or not

Just based off the women and the great food n nyc. The arguement is ridiculous. Anything after the two things I mentioned are icing on the cake.

I'm making that move to cali next year, tired of living the fast paced NY city lifestyle. Getting my money up and lining up my connects when I go out there.

new York is the richest city in the planet so no way it can be the worst plain and simple. Also we get practically every sneaker release in abundance over here.

South ****** be in Wal-Mart parking lots grilling meat on a shopping cart

if your in LA I'll buy you a beer papi

As a native NYC'er I really can't understand all the hate. I totally understand the elitist comment from Fong...but coming from a city that is ranked year after year by multiple travel sites as the best city to visit, having so much to take in while here, and having such a rich history for many things how can we not take pride in this city?

There's plenty of **** wrong with NYC, plenty. But to say your small town/city is better compared to the major city NYC is....that's just plain dumb.

And I have lots of love for small cities/towns. I've been in Kent and Akron, Ohio, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Ithaca, Palatine, and blah blah blah and there are some definite pro's to living and coming from those areas. But at the end of the day nobody isn't talking about these places. And people are always talking about NYC or referring to it or comparing it.

I've been to NOLA, SF, Miami, Vegas, Atlanta, D.C., Philly, and lived in the Chi for a bit and i'm bout to visit Seattle next month. While all these places are great I gotta say the only city to come close to NYC in my eyes is S.F.

I think the expectation people set in their minds is so high for when they visit NYC they think it's gonna be something outta this world. NYC can be but you gotta ditch the travel book suggestions and visit the outer boroughs too.

and OP....you a bum *** ***** to come in with such hate. Buster burger *** *****.

People claiming NYC taking L's while your city ain't even on Staten Island's level.

peons.

I love NY

I live in ct so it's a short train ride or drive to visit for the day or night but I would never want to live there. I love when I get home to my house on my quiet street. It's def a fun city to visit though

I've been living in NYC for 4 months now and I love it here. There's an electricity to the city that I could never describe and i've never felt anywhere else.

I work in SoHo and a lot of times I don't even go eat for lunch. I'll just take a walk around Broadway, Canal, Houston, and just feel the vibe. Just eat at my desk and eat while I work all motivated and whatnot. Grab a dollar slice, post up and just people watch.

Like, there are times when I'm outside, or even just looking outside, and I'll just feel like I need to be doing something. I need to be working a little more right now, or budgeting for the next few months, or working on that story, or figuring out my side hustles. It could very well be the space in my life that I'm in right now, but I swear the city just makes you go harder, think farther ahead, fight way harder to survive and thrive.

I definitely see how people get swallowed up by the city, though, and end up washing out and either leaving or becoming just another person drudging through barely getting by, or even worse straight up bum status. People get here to follow their dreams, and get caught up in following their thirst for fun and the nightlife and whatever scene their a part of. There's so much to do, and so many people (NYer's are mad friendly, I don't get the stereotype), that you see people all the time forget what's really important simply because they're having too much fun and it's so easy to do anything you could possibly feel like doing at any moment.

I'm just glad I'm not FROM here, though.
