Dr. Dre's work-in-progress may not have retained its original title.

Well, it looks like Detox isn't coming after all -- at least not with the title. According to longtime Aftermath producer Dawaun Parker, "He scrapped Detox a couple of years ago and came up with another title. I won’t say what the title is cause I haven’t seen that online or anything yet."

This confirms Marsha Ambrosius' similar claims made earlier this year. "Detox was a title that was thrown around so many years ago," she said. "There’s so many other things in the works for you to not be concerned about anyone detoxing. It sounds like a fitness center now. No, you’ll see something else."

Parker also revealed there are hundreds of beats laying around but, unfortunately, "the amount of songs isn’t that much because [Dre] won’t let anything that already wasn’t potentially a ten to even get recorded." One song that Parker confirmed did get recorded was Busta Rhymes' 2006 collaboration with Q-Tip and Marsha Ambrosius, "Get You Some," which, while originally slated for Dre's album, landed on Busta's The Big Bang LP. You can check out track below.

Man who cares
Dre ain't even that good of a producer IMO
Last beats that were :pimp: were on chronic 2001
And everyone knows it was Scott stitch and that other dude whose name I forgot
Dude is trash
Hd gas the voice to rap but that's it
He a bum
He winning for that beats and apple deal though
But musically he a bum

^Game, 50, Eve, Stat Quo and Eminem all got good Dre beats between 00-06. But I agree about Dre's beats not being much to get hype about anymore. But if I was making Beats headphones, I wouldn't be concerned with actual producing either.

Real talk I doubt dre has actually made his own beats since probably the original chronic
It's been know that daz produced most of doggystyle but see got most of the credit
Idk his beats are ok IMO but like u said never nothing to get hype about

Dre ain't coming out with anything. Probably gave away whatever ready made stuff he had anyway.

what's he gonna rap about now? his headphones? meeting tim cook? ****

He won't be writing whatever he raps so I'm sure if it ever comes out he'll make sure whoever is writing comes through. Don't really care about this project at all anymore though, especially if it's going to be some "I Need a Doctor" ****.

Dre gave me The Chronic, ayoung Snoop, early Eminem and 50 Cent.

He can keep this detox ********.

His beats have always had one sound but when it comes to being a producer and visionary there is nobody in hip hop like him.
most of these cats don't know the actual definition of a producer, nor can they differentiate a beatmaker from a producer.

as a beat maker dre is not even top 5, as a producer he is probably the goat.

and the whole thing about him being filthy rich has nothing to do with making good music and releasing it. obviously he made music to get rich but once artists get to a certain point the money they make off music is not substantial enough, its more about the love of the craft and creativity, etc.

idc. never did quite frankly.

dude has been in the game for such a long time and i feel like the majority of his respect/rep stems from that.

def has been a major contributing factor in some classic albums but his produciton style just doesnt appeal to me.

really feel like dudes overrated.

and btw, the replacement album wont release either...

I understand the frustration with the Detox 10 year push back but yall talking crazy saying he's overrated and tryna discredit what he's done.

I'm guessing it's DJ Khaled style album of random artists over Dre's beats that he's gathered over the 10+ years he's been making it. But I can see why he'd be hesitant to release it because Dipset and Unit over Dre beats in 2014/2015 would just be . . . awkward.

At this point, just let Kendrick have the title for his new album if it's produced/exec produced by Dre.
