Is Jordan Brand secretly retroing the "6 Rings" silhouettes?

Hear me out on this....

It seems like Jordan Brand is quietly releasing the Retros of the 6 shoes Jordan won championships with in their defeated opponent's colorways. Which I like to refer to as the REAL 6 Rings.

In 2010, JB released the 6's known as the Lakers (Ring #1).

In 2013, JB released the 8's known as the Suns (Ring #3).

If the pattern stays true, in 2016 we should one of the following colorways;

Jordan Retro 7 - Blazers (Ring #2)

Jordan Retro 11 - Sonics (Ring #4)

Jordan Retro 12 - Jazz (Ring #5)

Jordan Retro 13 - Jazz (Ring #6)

What do you guys think? Could this be happening...if so the 2 recent releases were highly slept on and could turn into one of those colorways you wish you had.
 
I wouldn't wish I had anything just because they made up some gimmicky set. I mean colorways for the other teams? What good is that really? What sense does it make other than just another half *** gimmick from JB? The REAL 6 rings would be a 6 shoe pack of the shoes he won in or just separate releases all on one Saturday. now that would be an epic theme. I bought the 8s because I liked the colorway and I love 8s in general, I passed on the 6s because they sucked... ***. I would pass on anything else if I didn't like the colorway. my 2 cents

also it would be a 14 not a 13

How many "themed" retro releases have been spread out over that many years?

We woulda gotten em all closer together like the IX couple years ago. We woulda gotten em closer together like the pistons 6 and lakers 6. Feel me?

Jb is not gonna base some release schedule with one shoe every two years to match a theme. Im not saying theyre not releasing the shoes in those colors, but it definately wouldnt be a planned every few year drop.
 
Don't put it past Jordan Brand. They've done this before with the low top 1's a few years back. And even similar shoe pavcks such as the 60+ releases.

Besides, that, I wouldn't mind seeing a release like this happen...

Imagine another black/red VII release? Or a white/green or black/green XI? Like the Columbias or Gammes with green soles...
 
Don't really see the pattern yet, if another shoe drops soon within your info then you may be on to something. :nerd:
 
It actually does make sense but i believe the next will be released next year

Remember the rumors of the black cardinal vii?

Could be that blazers colorway and next year is the year of the vii

did it with the cav 4s too tho not championship connected

gentry said they would be releasing shoes with other defining moments years ago

don't see how this is a reach or surprise

I don't know, I think it's a reach. Seems like a incomplete set just like the 25th Anniversary pack where all the models were to be released in all white. They only dropped the 1's, 2's, 3's, 4's, 9's & 11's, everything else was a sample release. Would have been dope to see some 5's hit the store shelves.

im still mad I passed on the 9s. I was going to cop them but with rumors of them all releasing eventually I was waiting for some 8s and 14s

The ix should be up for release in 2017 right? Need another white black pair. Paint chipping is turrrible
 
Suns 8 are sweet. Regret not buying.

I love sonice and jazz colorways so it would be a nice concept.

Heard the same rumor about XX8s releasing in all 6, well 5, colorways. I was so disappointed when it didn't happen, especially after being teased with those lakers xx8s
 
So now that LaMarcus Aldridge has signed to Jordan Brand, here come those Blazer 7s...perfect timing
