How I gained 100 pounds, then LOST 101...(video included)

:smokin :smokin

I'm a former athlete and I've gained a little over 60 lbs since I stopped working out in 2006. I've been telling myself I need to get active again and make it happen. Time to get these pounds off.

Thanks for the vid and the inspiration.

Not a problem my man, good luck on your journey. Stay focused.

Congrats brodie.

NO midsole cracking :nthat:

Feels good to wear some older shoes again lol.

What was your workout routine?

It changed pretty often, actually. But I was in the gym or doing cardio 6 to 7 days a week. When I got motivated, nothing could stop me...like I said in the video I've lost 51 pounds since April 13th. There are a lot of fantastic routines on bodybuilding.com I'd advise you sign up with that forum.

Nice story. But don't make goals. make life changes. I realize setbacks happen but that doesn't seem healthy. Exercise is just one part of weight loss. Diet alone can sustain gains if you are injured.

Watched the video from start to finish. Great story, fam. Congrats on all you have done :nthat:

This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. The reason lots of people fail at things in life is because they do what you said and "don't make goals" you can't wing everything in life, weigh-loss and health are a couple of those things. Please explain to me how you make a life change without setting a goal. And I take it you didn't watch the video? I said it more than once: "eat right, eat less and exercise" those are the key steps to the type of weight-loss someone needs to follow to drop any significant amount of weight.

Make a goal -> create a plan -> set it in motion -> complete the goal -> repeat.

How tall are you? Why are you trying to get down to 185?

I'm 6'0, when i was 306lbs i was like 98% body fat; the other 2% was blood, bones and doodoo. i measured my body fat when i was 256 and it was 32% then i measured again when i was 213 and it was at 17% with a good 40lbs of fat/flab on me, and you can still tell. I think the weight of 185 is a good starting platform for what I plan on doing which is drop down to 185 then build back up to 195-200 with
