Logic - No Pressure - Out Now!

I been slipping...never even knew my dude had some new work out til just now...

Will listen tonight, looking forward to it. :pimp:

I got a Cole vibe from a few tracks. And folks mentioning Drake are only doing so because he was doing the whole rap/sing thing.Album sounded cool. I was at work, so I didn't give it the focus I wanted. Definitely wasn't a bad album though.

he is currently #1 on itunes bruh, hes even beating T.I.'s Paperwork right now.. how u gon say his time on def jam will be up?? this isnt trinidad james we talkin bout...

u sound mad salty

this is a solid hip hop album. from production to lyrical content i would say 3 out of the 12 tracks were meh... the rest r good songs

What exactly am I salty about

You sound butt hurt over my opinion.

You kids sure do get emotional if someone doesn't have this group think opinion.

Legit album,. I listened to this and Def Loaf and guess which one is in the trash. Like somebody said above he just need
to polish up some things and keep making good music. I have a feeling his production will change in the near future. Being
on a major label, their going to want that big record but I think he can deliver it. His lyrics are average to slightly above, but
his flow is way above the norm considering the trash that's occupied "rap".

Was really surprised with the album, especially after the first 3 tracks. DMV:smokin

After 3 times through the album im starting to agree with everyone a little more.  It is a very good album.  But there is nothing too memorable for me.  The flow is top notch but lyrical content is what keeps people coming back to an album.  And its pretty surface level for the most part.

7.5/10

100% agree with the 7.5/10, It's crazy the difference between a high level lyricist and one hovering above average. But you can still
make a great album without being that top tier lyricist. I guess I'm just waiting for the next Kendrick/Jay-z to grace the scene :nerd:.

I think that is a fair rating for this album. I would have to agree.

My opinion:

Album sounds very cohesive, maybe to a fault as almost every song sounds pretty much the same. Flow is impeccable, it's really impressive how he can effortlessly ride each beat, melodies are smooth as well and he can make catchy songs. The content is the weakness of the album, however. For someone who so often claims to be giving you the "real", his subject matter and substance seems very limited. Lyrically, I think he's very average and pens a enormous number of basic or sub-par bars that he gets a pass for because of the great flow and delivery they are masked under. Overall, it's good sounding music but just not very memorable. I can't see this album having very much replay value. The J.Cole comparison sticks, but I would take J.Cole in a heart beat, as he tends to say things that stick with you longer, have more meaning, and are much more cleverly worded.

6.5/10

Album is cool has a couple deletables for the most part but he can spit I'll give him that he's no game changer though in the rap game as far as up and coming acts, Joey bad>this but til the end the best track

On point/10

Still need to give this album some spends. Will give it a listen tonight before I head out.

Solid album, there are no songs that I skip because I don't like them.

I agree that he does do some impressions on here, like doing his best Kendrick on Under Pressure (I hear Sing About Me), and not just because of the same sample. But it doesn't bother me much for some reason, maybe he puts enough of his own spin on it.

Some dope stuff on here, like the Outkast sample on Never Enough. So smooth :nthat:

8.0/10 for me.[emoji]128077[/emoji]

Im not the biggest logic fan but i really enjoyed this album more than any of his mixtapes. Gang Related and Buried Alive really stood out from the rest of the songs. I didn't get a "drake vibe" from this album but Logic reminds me of Big Sean sonically, even though I would say this album is hands down better than Hall of Fame, he's a very skilled rapper when it comes to flow and lyricism but this album just seems to be missing something to me, maybe I was expecting more features

7.5 on shuffle/ 8 when you listen all the way through

Damn, most reviews I heard were damn nearing giving it perfects. I was expecting the same here.

dude talking about Gaitursburg, MD section 8...that is a damn 3 bedroom townhouse in MOCO...He can rap, but he is a figment of his own fake struggle and imagination. Fat Trel fell off after a tape and all his SBSB camp are terrible...that said I'd listen to any of them over logic if I was hell bent on supporting his local peers.

i don't mean to be petty,

but all i know is that he wore squadron blue 13s on the XXL cover

so if his shoe selection is anything like his beat selection,

then i'm not going....

and people in this thread are comparing him to j.cole?

lolz

yeah, then i'm definitely not going.

i'll be late to that album listening....

I was wondering about this, bruh said his sisters got raped and his moms was racist and got beat by partners, brother sold crack to his own father, do you think hes going that far for this image?? Genuine question kuz you sound like you know the area well or have some insight. Some of the stuff hes saying is pretty crazy to be lying about. If he got caught out the fallout would be the end of his career

I wondered this too. He claims quite a bit of struggle.

Then again, people of all classes get raped/beaten.
