Logic - No Pressure - Out Now!

I was wondering about this, bruh said his sisters got raped and his moms was racist and got beat by partners, brother sold crack to his own father, do you think hes going that far for this image?? Genuine question kuz you sound like you know the area well or have some insight. Some of the stuff hes saying is pretty crazy to be lying about. If he got caught out the fallout would be the end of his career
I know that section 8 housing where he is from means a townhouse in the suburbs.  That's not a shot at him or his credibility...I just think to the average consumer they hear section 8 and they picture something different.  I was confused at first too and thought maybe he grew up in a foster system, but then I heard the interview and it sounds like his parents had different kids from previous relationships.  I'm sure his brother sold his dad a bag or two, that wouldn't shock me...but then again it's like how far is dude going with the stories to have something to talk about?  I'm sure growing up with a dad who dabbled in drugs and a slew of half-siblings wasn't easy, but I'm just not buying the whole 'struggle' story.  I also feel like he goes out of his way to let you know that he is comfortable with who he is.

This album is hot. I needa' give it time to sink in. Has potential to be even better n' better with each listen. That "machine gun" flow is ill. One thing about the album I didn't like was the unknown background singers on the chorus and stuff. I coulda' done without that.

I pretty much agree with toogoon's review after one listen. I found that little voice giving fun facts between songs to be corny as hell too.

Like, don't tell me your influences during the making of the album AS I'm listening to the album son, let me organically notice some potential ones or say them in an interview or something. I don't need to know how long he spent recording the album either, and so on and so forth. I couldn't help but  every time it happened.

Fantano confirms my initial thoughts that I'm Gone (the whole flow) Metropolis (Sing About Me) and Never Enough (Hol' Up) are nearly directly biting Kendrick's sound...

Still like the album quite a bit, been listening to it quite a bit the last couple days.

There's def some Kendrick "influence" on the album. I had to check the track listing to see if Kendrick was featured

First impressions matter and from the first time I heard this dude a year ago he was corny af. NT music section weird. Crazy how some dudes get praised and others get slept on...

Good to see I wasn't the only one who peeped that heavy Kendrick Influence. I too had to check like twice to see if it Kendrick was gonna be featured. He DEF had to have sampled him, but I don't have the physical with the booklet to check the credits.

Funny, because Young Sinatra has a big Friday Night Lights influence. Logic is like a product of our generation, he listens to what we listen to but you can REALLY hear it in his music.

Metropolis definitely has the same drum sample as SIng About me, Im dying of thirst

I really enjoy the album. I def hear the Kendrick and Cole influence. So much I had to go listen to sing about me. I don't hear Drake. Haha
I think the album is a solid 8/10.

The sample on Under Pressure is so classic, but I can't remember where I've heard it before.

I was honestly disgusted listening to dudes album...no orginality. He bit beats, styles and flows from Kdot, Cole and even ASAP ferg. i heard so many different artists on it, it was like a compilation album. not impressed. On the track with Gambino you cant even tell who is who.

I'm cool with him biting. It's refreshing to hear the flows on different beats since Cole and other artists havnt really dropped anything this year outside of Gambino.

Same here. The beat selection is dope. The album was sequenced well. Dope lyrics. I can't be mad.

I never heard his music prior to this and I'm thoroughly impressed.

People are sleeping on this. Logic can rap

Can't stop playing this album.
The crazy thing dude just sold 70,000 in one week with no promotion. I don't think people are sleeping it's just not trending cuz he doesn't have that "hot niggga" moment. lol The people that bought the album know its dope tho.
