Had a phone interview then a group interview this past Monday, and after the interview three hours later got an email for background verification. I have no criminal background and haven't heard back yet. what do you guys think? am I going to get the job? also I'm being interviewed at another Nike factory store at the mall. is there any rules that wouldn't allow me to work at two Nike stores?

You'll get the job.
No you can't work at 2 stores.
Pick one...... Don't do anything stupid ( especially with your diwdount) and you'll be kept.
Enjoy .

Still no call back from Nike. It's been a week now since the interview and background check..slowly losing hope..any advice or assumption on what the delay is all about?

Call them and see whats up. Just be polite and them them know you really want the job.
Thanks and yeah I called a few times but I always seem to call at the wrong time cause the hiring manager is either not in or he's on break. I'm 80% sure I got the job but the other 20% is the lack of actually being notified I scored the position.

Some jobs they are required to leave the application process open for a certain amount of time before they can hire. Not sure if that applies here though. A week seems long, my wife heard back after a day or so. Might want to consider stopping by. Good luck.

Damn...I didn't make the cut unfortunately. All that "If you receive a background verification email, you're pretty much hired." Is *******t. I got that email and I have a clean record. Got my hope up for nothing...

that aint right, working is overrated anyways, grindin is back in

Nah..I'm trying to stay away from that street life but man. I was so damn sure I scored that position. Like during the interview compared to who was in my group I blew them out the gates with my answers, everything was smooth man then they hit me with that email letting me down and sh*t even after my background check like come on Nike YOU MISSED OUT ON A GREAT EMPLOYEE!

Thanks but I'm more interested in the retail department. Besides I don't have the desire to be a designer for Nike. I just want to help them dominate in sales and customer service..unfortunately they didn't see that In me..it's not over yet though I should be receiving a call from my local mall for a full time position. Fingers crossed.

What's up NT'ers! Got some good news today from the Nike Factory Store at my local mall. If you guys have been following this thread you know that a few weeks ago I was broken hearted about not landing the position at a different Nike store due to ( I just found this out ) the manager put someone else on that they knew. But I got over that, kept my head held high and took my talents to south beach haha. Anyway the news is I got an interview tomorrow which I'm highly prepared for and from the looks of it the management team seems to already taking a like into me being that they went out of their way to interview me right away instead of making me wait until Friday (at least I like to think) nonetheless I'm very excited, wish me luck and hopefully If hired I will definitely keep everyone updated on experiences and crazy releases that we all love!

Yo!! just got back from my interview for full time apparel at Nike. Must say I'm impressed with the way I slayed those questions. It was a group interview and 2 managers just like the last time I was interviewed. questions were the same so I already knew what to expect. cool management , so now I just wait for the background email and job offer. LETS DO IT!

Good luck man.  Sound really passionate about the job, NIKE would definitely be losing out if they dont hire you.  All the best!!

That's awesome.  More people should work in a job thats about something they love.  Would make living a lot more enjoyable.

Let us know how it goes

What's up NT'ers so I got some good news and bad news. The bad news is the swoosh once again have turned down ya boy for employment but I must say I really don't understand why this time, I mean I did my best in those interviews and follow up's, have a clean background and all but in the end they shut the door on me. On the other hand I'm still in the runner up for there part-time position for the seasonal, I just didn't get the job for the full time visual apparel associate. But with all that being said I honestly don't even want that part-time position if offered it because I feel Nike keeps juggling me in both hands and each time it doesn't end good. Now the good news is there was a new foot locker store opening up in the mall and I got the job there simply because I had the retail experience and the managers there really liked me. My orientation is Thursday and I'm actually excited. So word to Chris Rock "we didn't get the whole snickers, but we got a Hersheys Kiss." Nonetheless it's been quite an experience with Nike's hiring process but Footlocker held me down in the end so I will definitely give them my all when on the job and if anyone here works for footlocker please give any advice on what to expect and benefits. Thank you all.

Sorry to hear about Nike, but congrats on Footlocker.  If anything, and if your goal is still to work at Nike, this just adds to your resume and experience for the future.

Good luck, hope you do well at the job!
