I really want to see how we use huff when he gets back.. I suspect that he'll get thrown into a hybrid rb/slot wr type role

but we really need to get consistency from that group as a whole.. I mean I kinda expect it from Mathews since he's a rookie.. but not guys like coop and celek

I am def. interested in seeing how they use him too; I agree I think he plays a Sproles type role when he was with the Saints

DSA + DSK (holy ****, I just now realized the initials after 10 years...) -- what's the deal with Vareen? Is it just the fact that NE can't run the ball in general, injuries, or what?

I expected dude to come out like Danny Woodhead this year and catch like 70-80 balls.

two things come to mind. i think he is a little banged up (missed some practice) and the other is the pats are looking to establish more of a power presence out there with ridley. the couple times shane got it, he did do alright. but i think in general they're trying (too hard in my mind) to be something they're not.

we need to be having shane going out for passes a lot more. and not screens...give me shane on some wheel and circle routes. they're trying it once or twice a game and have hit on a couple, but it needs to be more. he's a mismatch on any linebacker that pops out to cover him.

mcdaniels is killing me this year

That's kinda what I thought. BB needs to tell McDaniels to watch a little Sean Payton/Chip Kelly and plug Vareen into a Sproles-type role. Line him up all over the place. With the o-line giving Thomas no time, he needs Vareen for those quick dumps and slants.

Week 3 guys, let's calm down with the team A is overrated and player B sucks talk unless you're comfortable predicting a Cardinals/Chargers Super Bowl, LeSean McCoy will be a bottom 5 back, and Tony Romo being clutch will be something we should get used to.

You're only saying this because your team is one that was overrated.

I'm saying it because that statement is 2 months premature. The funny thing is Packers fans can take our defenses performance as a positive from the loss, not get crazy and worry about the offense. Unless we can say with confidence that holding Rodgers to 7 points will be a reoccurring theme even though its only one week after a record breaking performance from he and top 3. Like I said, might as well say the Cardinals will be playoff bound with ease, McCoy will be a bottom 5 back, and the Cowboys will continue to win due to Romo having a clutch gene.

We fall in the same trap every year with statements like "the Packers offense is overrated like we expected" as if the last 5 years of Rodgers consistent division, Super Bowl, and MVP winning dominance is a fluke while ignoring the Packers having top 3 now in his prime, a healthy Cobb in a contract year, and a running back Rodgers has never had. Feel like I'm beating a dead horse just saying it.

Texans:

- our run defense is atrocious. the bills next week, and the cowboys after? 2 more games giving up 100 on the ground.
- if we can't run, we're screwed  fitz ain't that guy
- why are we playing DBs 7-10 yards off of receivers, and letting them catch little slants over and over?
- nuk was the only bright spot.

for sure. Mcdaniels play calling has been killing me so far like DSA said. hopefully with gronk starting to round up to his old form, it'll only help the offense from there. smh

and please stop calling Vereen, Vareen. stop bigmike'ing his name.

Hope we don't get another Sunday night game for a while...seems to be our kryptonite. Our last two regular season losses, dating back to our 2013 bye week, have occurred on that platform.

Super Bowl is on NBC this year too...:smh:
