AJ1 JETER 715854-402 Midnight Navy/Metallic Gold-Sail $160

1 per is fine with me I just want them to re-release these when there are not 15 million other shoes they are trying to release at the same time and it would be nice if another major online store released these as well!
 
To those who got their pairs already, what is the suggested retail price tag say on the box?

Also, to those who were able to get the Jeter 1s in NYC/Chicago, how much did you pay for retail?

yes, let's pull the release because we forgot to rip them off for 10 dollars more. Nike is the most greedy company I think that literally exists.

yes they screwed up by A. not even changing the retail stickers and B. forgetting to tell us they wanted to rip us off for some xtra cash $$$$$$. It was honestly probably a last minute idea to charge more

I was skeptical at first about the rumor that Nike pulled the Jeter release due to a pricing error, but seeing all these NDC pairs with the MSRP ripped off is giving it a lot of weight. 

I know Nike has pricing errors here and there (most recently the Digital Ink Elite sock buyers that were refunded $2), but for them to pull the plug on an entire release day collection seemed extreme. I guess $20 a pair was too much for them to swallow. 

I paid $140 on NDC. I wonder what Flight23 buyers were charged.

I can't take this place seriously anymore. Throw out the price change for a minute... what shoes were you able to buy on Saturday from NDC? I had these in my cart, I had the XIV's in my cart, I should have had the AM90's in my cart... and yet how many pairs did I purchase from NDC on Saturday? Zero. The site was screwed and they didn't bring the servers to a screeching halt, passing up on guaranteed money for those other releases just to get $20,000-$40,000 more revenue. Think about it for all of a minute: thousands of people looking to give Nike $185 for those XIV's went elsewhere to buy their pairs. The amount of money Nike lost on those alone was FAR greater than 20-40K (assuming they only had a couple thousand pairs of Jeters to sell). Any way you cut it, their site was a massive failure on Saturday and you couldn't check out with what you had in your cart. Any other reason for the cancelled releases is just silly.
 
Nike is scum for doing that. They changed the $140 price like a day before the release. Even though people were already charged $140, I bet they come back at $160. :smh:
 
I don't think price is going to change.... highly doubt they will charge others $140 and rest $160 :smh:

Does Nike really lose money though, if other stores such as FTL, FNL, FA sell more of their own stock than usual since NDC was defunct? The same shoes that Nike is making and selling to these companies to sell for them?

Honest question. I'm a science graduate, not an economics/business person.

Nike has already moved that inventory and sells it to those retailers at about 50% of retail price (so on a $170 release, it's probably around $85-$90 that they charge). Nike.com replaces the retailer for X% of stock on a given release, and that benefits Nike, the company, as they can move much of their stock without the additional retail channels. Nike's cost on the pairs they sell on NDC are production + shipping costs, and the shipping costs are really negligible as all their stock for a given shoe comes in from overseas. They just move what they aren't taking along from there to retailers. So on a shoe like this, their cost is probably about $15-$20 a pair, and they can charge $140 (or $160 or whatever), without selling it to the retailers at 50% of MSRP. So each pair of these Jeters would sell for a profit of probably $120, not $50 as they would if they went to a retailer. So yes, it is a huge dent to their bottom line when all of the stock they have sits. It's a huge hit just cause of all that money they would have had Saturday from people, collecting interest this week. Many of their would-be buyers found it easy to get the XIV elsewhere, but would have preferred to buy from Nike.com. That's lost $$ any way you cut it, and that's why it makes no sense that they canceled all releases on Saturday to re-release the Jeter 1's (on a VERY small run) to compensate for $20 per pair lost. It's moronic to think that.

Add me to the conspiracy theory list of people with price tags ripped off.  Don't even see the charge on my card though so I don't know what's going on.
 
Trying to do everything I can to grab a pair of these when they (finally) release. I was going to pass at first, but I have passed on a ton of releases lately. Never had any 1's and been a big Yankee fan since I was a kid. Definitely a must cop for me. I know, just KNOW, Nike will drop a random release for them... and I will be either running on the treadmill or hooping... because it happened twice to me before during "random" re-stocks from them... smh
 
Chiming in, my price tag was cleanly ripped off too. Really strange.

I don't think Nike is worried about losing out on any sales bc they know when they relaunch the shoes on their site, they'll still sell out. But also, an additional $20 on however many pairs of Jeters isn't going to have a material impact on their bottom line.
 
Was at the game today and saw a girl wearing these. My salt level was at an all time high, I gotta admit. Especially since Jeter hadnt got a hit and it was already the 7th inning.

I have tickets to tomorrows game but theres talk of rain. I better get these damn sneakers soon and see the game tomorrow!!!! Jealous of everyone who got these but happy for you. Not happy for the fat chick at the game rocking these.
