First time going to HU's Homecoming. What should I be checking for in terms of events, clubs, etc?

Also, what the house party scene lookin like for HU? Been to FAMU's homecoming twice and both time house parties>club

Howard theatre is a terrible venue for parties though

Wait a week or two, more options will start popping up for homecoming. They didn't even announce all the events. Yardfest isn't going to be like the classic yardfest this year smh

No big concert on the yard like usual. There will be a few acts such as Dj Drama, Sza etc but all the heavy hitters will be at the hip hop concert. This will be held in a venue....

It will be free this year unlike last years mess

I'm definitely flipping some of those Hip-Hop concert tickets after last years fiasco.

sucks they changed up the format of homecoming, its not like it used to be :smh: |I , it was all good just up to 2 years ago, still debating if I even want to go back this year

they started that #NewHoward stuff last year by charging for Yardfest, we still finessed our way in :smokin pay homage to Alumni,
tho now it's a lil more organized it may be different, just get your tickets early and for good prices

Shout to the HennyPalooza folks in here. Was up in the City for #GDE which was dope af. Hopefully yall can recreate that vibe during HUHC.

Sophomore at the Mecca, I honestly don't know what to expect out of homecoming this year. It was terrible last year, so there's that. Plus Yardfest ain't really Yardfest anymore, which was the main event for homecoming really. But nevertheless, expect all the pretty bitties to be out in full force.

nahhh I refuse to believe that...I was on campus for a lil bit the thursday  before school started when folks started moving back and saw plenty of bad joints

Ive never been to HU homecoming so hopefully ill be able to make it this year..

Maybe it was just a slow sat, but we hit a party out Umd after n the broads was better ...as well as I seen badder joints up Morgan round my way ...still probly gonna be at Howard homecoming grabbin em tho :lol:

Word I heard umd is pretty live if u can get into the parties... I haven't kicked it at Morgan yet smh but hellllllllll nawwwwwww I can't see Morgan havin better chicks than Howard lol you must have had a bad experience with one or somethin man lol
 
Haven't bothered with HU homecoming in years. I miss the H2O days, #%^* park...

:lol: naw mane I'm good money up HU, been had yambs up there for years now...was just suprised at the lack of quality on that particular day ....don't sleep on Morgan tho, nothin but Ho's n most of em from round dc anyway :lol: ....the whole city got joints on the low during the school year tho, check it out ...whole bunch of schools in Baltimore n they be out n thirsty :pimp:

N I remember how live HU homecoming wa back in like 06, think I was in park or love or something but it was crazy
