Any time I watch a western or something related to the natives come up this topic crosses my mind. Crazy how it mainly happened cuz many tribes refused to be slaves. Just wiping out a whole group of ppl, deadass marching from one coast to the next pushing them back and pushing them back, killing them, forcing them elsewhere, make a deal then break it. I pondered the same question as I was watching the piece......

at first I was like, who cares about the name ********, they're barely ANY Native Americans around anyway.....but then I realized how insensitive that is for me to feel that.... I realized its divisive, as if we ALL arent the same Homo sapiens.

Its a human issue man, I wouldn't dare stand for an Atlanta Darkies team (Atlanta Black Crackers and other Negro League teams don't count here since it was all black players and what not different situation) and we can do one for each different "race" but the point is that Native Americans are our brothers and sisters, they fam, and if they offended, then I'm offended. Change the name to something completely away and different from Native Americans...hell Washington Bureaucrats for all I care.

Is the image depicted in the logo based off an actual tribe? If so, just name them after the tribe.

There's a multitude of other names they could go with that would relate better to the area. Like the Washington Presidents for example. Its that easy.

Braves

That was the team name before Marshall changed it.  This will allow them to keep the logo and everything else, and cushion the blowback from the fan base by changing it to something that has "history and tradition" within that franchise. 
 
Saw this last night and it's such a shame so many people think like those fans. I mean it's simple as would you call a Native American ******* to their face, if not, you know the name is wrong and needs to be changed.

Also LOL at dude saying The Daily Show has a Zionist agenda, you're just dumb.

Americans suffer from an inability to perceive insensitivity or injustice if it doesn't affect them personally.

What's crazy is...football as a business is so bulletproof that a name and logo change would have no material effect on the business.
