Still the Chicagos 2015 are so awesome! Imagine we waited 21 years to get the OG NA treatment for it.

If You buy Chicago's because of what the shoes represents, the beginning of MJ's career, the beginning of the best shoe line ever, for the HISTORY of the shoe, you're definitely not a hypebeast. You are a hypebeast if you want a shoe because it's limited and even if you don't like the shoe you still buy it to look cool to other people. Or wear them to take pics for social media then sell them to someone that actually likes them for a ridiculous price.

To me they definitely do

 to each his own i guess. But i was expecting something along the line of lasers quality. But i got something stiffer. 

Still good quality, but very overhyped. In my opnion, of course

Laser quality is good, the only difference between them and the '15 Chis is the thickness. Chicago's are the same quality just a bit thicker synthetic leather.

Hmm I can see where you're coming from. Let me take a look again. 

All I know is that when I first got them, I was far from WOWed on them. 
 
I also appreciate the overall quality of the Lasers more than the Chicago's. The black collar is the same cheap crap. The red and white 'leather' is nice, though.
 

Nah. There's no comparison to the black/red quality. Leather is way better on these. But I don't buy this remastered talk. This is how all 1's should come.

And who cares if lasers have better quality. They ugly AF. My opinion of course
 
Yaw realize every roll/section/cut of leather/(or even synthetic leather) is not gonna be absolutely the same right?

My chi's might have some nice soft buttery leather, and yours could have some more rigid stiffer leather, and Joe Shmoe's pair might be somewhere in the middle... This is how production works... It depends where Nike is sourcing the leather and how their QC teams inspect batches of leather (if they even do at all lol)... It is entirely possible that quality on these chi's (given Nike's track record on quality/QC) runs the gambit from "poor" to "great"... mind you quality determinations by sneakerheads are VERY SUBJECTIVE (not to mention relative)...

Toebox on the Chicagos is almost like the Lasers, but with a little more give to them.  The red leather is nice too...

The rest (especially the black leather around the collar) reminds me of my black toes.  Still a great shoe.  Not quite LM leather, but pretty damn good leather by today's standards.  Just enough give without being too soft to the point that they'll look terrible worn.
 

Blasphemy.. I own 3 pairs of black red and 5 chi and none compare however you put it.

This. Plus the leather on the lasers is very thin. Thickness of leather matter when it comes quality.
