Thanks dude. Damn shame I wasn't able to land a pair in the US, but thankfully my boy came through for me.

In regard to the questions about dates...my pair came from overseas and the dates are:

12/09/14 01/15/15

Yeah I had to go back and read what you said again just to make sure I read it right and I stand by my response to this statement. Especially after reading "they feel exactly like my black/reds". I have both and for that I can't take you're opinion too serious and the notion that you DO "know what you're talking about" is highly questionable (to me) after a statement like that. It's definitely nothing personal and I have no real problem with you man (it's just shoe talk lol), I just disagree based on the obvious FACT that chi 2015 leather is clearly and undeniably better than 2013 breds. To deny that is just asinine...Lasers aside. And just because they're supposed to be "remastered" doesn't mean people should expect Louis Vutton (or better) quality leather. They are just Jordan's, dudes be expecting gold.

I don't think anyone is necessarily hyping chi leather (I'm certainly not) but simply calling it how they see it. The quality and craftsmanship is very good to say the least by today's standards for JB. Quality or not Lasers don't compare when it comes to Chi's for most people. For 1. They are not an OG colorway by far and 2. I would never purchase a pair of lasers for myself. They do have good leather like I mentioned the ankle collar on lasers is plush A1 but they're no CHI 1 or anything close to that for that matter.

I respectfully agree to disagree.

THIS is good quality leather. Anything along these lines deserve the title "good quality". Anything else doesn't compare and shouldn't even be in the same sentence.

But like I said, a lot of yall don't even buy anything outside JB for the most part. So good quality to you is not the same as good quality to ME. End of story

Shoot. It's not like it's only the "other brands" putting out good quality sneakers. The French open Agassis that I wore today were top notch. Top 5 release last year IMO

this is my OPINION. These chi are cool but nowhere near the level that some of you dudes hyped them up to be.

I guess I'm spoiled but these are the best leather I've ever felt on a sneaker, bar none.

I agree with you and your opinion on how you like the sneaker, but the Chicago 1's are in FACT better quality than the black and reds from 2013. The leather (synthetic) on the '15 chi's is in FACT softer and more supple than the '13 black and reds. That's not my opinion it's a fact. 

I do agree with you though that other brands s*it on Jordan Brands quality even at a much lower price point.

Why doesn't anyone just take a couple pairs to a spot where the people that work there actually know leather quality so this endless leather debate can be resolved....like a shoe cobbler, if there are many left......ask a real expert

  If you have 2 pairs of shoes with that different of quality (2013 black / reds and 2015 Chicago's) the difference is so great than it really doesn't come down to opinion, it's pretty much a fact that the quality is better on the 15's Chi's than the 13" black / reds. To say otherwise just means you're trying to stir stuff up lol.

 Now, asking which one someone likes better, that's an opinion. Peace ya'll i'm out, see everyone if / when NDC decides to drop them.

another opinion..... which is why i suggested a person who ACTUALLY knows leather quality look at some pairs and give their input...honestly, im not the type to nitpick a sneaker....i just wear what i think looks good...i dont expect margiela quality from jb...i was just wondering what a pro would say.

It's not an opinion though, anyone with a sense of touch can feel and also a sense of sight can see that one shoe is made better, higher quality. I see what you're saying though, since I am not a cobbler I wouldn't truly know which one is better, so in that sense it's an opinion, but come on. S'all good i'm out, have a good weekend guys!

i dont care which has better quality personally...i was actually wondering what a person that work with leather would think.....i didnt try to cop a pair for myself since i dont see the big deal besides being jordans first model....i looked out for folks who needed help copping on this pair......even if i liked the cw, i dang sure aint trying to buy a pair or more every time they released....i dont collect, just wear....but i am feeling the backboard cw
