I do its ******* scary like its too the point some 3s only flaw is the elephant print. But if the guy has them in stores already isn't it possible that mine could have been real?

the member that got them in store already only JUST got them in yesterday or the day before. You got your pairs like 2-3 weeks ago before today, and when you mentioned your seller, his name sounded sketchy. I don't know what to tell you anymore, you still got the chi's and you've been trying to find the littlest detail to convince yourself or everybody else that the pair you have could have the slightest 0.01% chance of being real.

Toe box on 94 > OG. Wings on OG > 94.

2015 has both, actually wings are better than both. Plus both have no ankle padding. 2015 does.

I know it's my opinion but it doesn't make absolute zero sense.

Fams i think there will be more than enough pairs to go around if we all put that work in to get them. It just feels that way...

This thread is unlike any other JB thread on NT with a shoe releasing the next couple months.

We are all knowledgeable. We all REALLY want these. We all seem to know where or how to obtain Air Jordan 1s.

We all will flourish. We all will eat.

First time I've EVER heard of a retro being better than an OG...

These Chicagos are probably the closest weve seen to an actual OG from pictures and they still don't hold a candle to OGs IMO

Some the 1st early retro molds are my favs. I dont think that notion is too farfetched.

94 1s >85
99 4s >89
01 3s >88/94
00 5s >90

Collecting terms I'll def take the OGs. Rocking terms I like the modern spin on a couple retros.

I can see where you are coming from but then again the toe box on the 94 1s are just trashy the red part is too big imo. With rocking I can defiantly see how you like the retros but then again ill take my deadstock 1990 black tongue 5s over any 00 5s if I can swap them. They aren't even yellow yet an the quality is insane

Def makes sense with you putting it like this

I was honestly looking at it from a collecting/history stand point

Ive never rocked OGs to be honest, but im sure comfort is a HUGE difference

Just don't understand how mold and construction of 94s would be preferred over OGs.

94s get their mold/construction from OGs 

"Can't fix something if it aint broken"

OGs are classics when talking about mold/construction (specifically mold)
 
getemchavez getemchavez I think people who are "OG only" are no different from hype beasts getting hype only. I don't see why we can't take something and make t better than it originally was. it's not like OGs are made perfect at first. They have flaws. Nothing wrong with that either. I wore older pairs and though the support on the midsole was there, there was no padding it was uncomfortable. In terms of collecting, OG all the way but it doesn't have to be OG always. 2015 looks much better aesthetically for myself

I def got that fam

Ive personally never worn OGs but I know the 94s I rocked were very uncomfortable

Frags changed the game in terms of OG mold and COMFORT

When I look at my 1s (specifically 2013 releases) the only thing they're lacking is that classic 85' OG mold

I've never considered 94s mold/construction because I personally like my kicks to be the closest to OG as possible (added comfort) is def a plus

JB needs to keep going in the right direction with this mold though

Honestly I can appreciate all the characteristics of each shoe. The 94s were my first B/Red 1s, so I am being biased. I like the contours and history in the 85s, as well as the 94s.

I like em all. I wouldn't argue anyones standpoint.
 
as much as I love ogs if they aren't in good condition they don't even come close to the retros then I can see where people get that idea from. I had a pair of 1985 chicagos the foam on the ankles dried out and got all hard you just couldn't wear them anymore

I'll add that the early 2000s XIIs might be better than the original pairs as well because of how heavy they were and because of the retros from that run having more pronounced cushioning.

I always stand by the opinion that Jordan Brand actually went into the first run of retros with the intention of revising and "improving" the originals, and I think they succeeded on some pairs.

As someone who has owned quite a few originals and '99-03 models over the last few years but doesn't care about the nostalgia or collecting aspects of things; I can appreciate their effort.

All of that said: I agree that the "remastered" I model might be my favorite iteration outside of the '94s, and I'd take these over those even simply on the basis of comfort.

Jesus might have to cop 3 pairs now. Unreal that 2015 is getting rated better than previous years.

My favorite AJ1 colorway, top 5 favorite shoe of all time.

Come on May 30th...
