Yeah, for many of us it was easy, because there was no hype beyond people who already liked I's. Now you have people who were never in to I's who want them, because of hype and resell prices. Probably a good 50% of the people in here weren't in any of the royal threads.

I remember entering a raffle for Royals at a HOH and the employee told me majority of people put in raffles for the All Star shoes that were dropping that same weekend and not much for Royals. I won a raffle from that HOH for Royals and to this day I thank those All Star shoes for dropping the same time as Royals.

My DTLR had like ten people and we only waited an hour. My boy and I were like we should have gotten another pair or two. At these resell prices I wish I really would have.
Out here on the West Coast it wasnt as easy...especially here in Seattle....you are definitely right about all the hype around 1's now which is just crazy...glad to have my pair secured and arriving soon as I do not have to go through any head aches with this release....

Will the influx people purchasing or inquiring about ATC/Bot services for this release it'll be interesting to see just how many people actually get through manually. I've always wondered just how much of a disadvantage these services put a manual user.

Yeah that was the main reason why I went with a ATC service for this release....

Usually I'll try cop manually...

Just remember to call still fellas. Stores around me have done FCFS and when monday came around they switched to raffles last minute whether it be a GMs decision etc

Oh really?....I was in that first thread just like you and people were panicking...I had to get my pair from Australia....there was nothing easy about that release at all....

The Royal's release might of been easy for you Magic, but not for me. Or anyone in a highly populated urban area. I had to learn German just to secure my pairs. That release was crazy.

I agree with you though. Hype wise and popularity, the Chi release will be worse than the Royals.

This will probably b the biggest (hyped) release of the year until the holiday 11s. I never go all out until 11s but it jus seems nessasry jus secure some pairs. But im sure after these drop we won't b seein OG 1s for a long time

I hate this whole raffle procedure.

This is the first time i'll be doing this.

My local footlocker is doing FCFS. I haven't camped out for a pair of sneakers in years.

this should be fun.

Crazy what hype can do.

Just the week before a lot of people were passing around 250. Now all the hype and paranoia got people pulling trigger fingers at $300.

At least one more OG 1 will come out in December. However, that color won't be as hyped as Chicagos.

I'm in a highly populated urban area

Why do some of you assume that your area is the entire country. Many other people are telling you that it wasn't that difficult when the royals came out.

No, because I's hyped up or not are still a niche market

Those XI's last weekend where people were online trying for four and five hours are probably the biggest release.

based off my connects its looking like i should be guaranteed 3 pairs of these. that's not including any potential raffles i might win so all in all i'm expecting to eat pretty good on this release. guess i'll see in a few days.

I just called my local City Gear abut the Chicago 1s, and he said call back Thursday and hung up.

Naw buddy, I going to go up there in person today, and asking another person. Seems shady, with Thursday being on two days before the release and you know nothing.

Royals was a cake walk. Pre Jordan 1 hype, ans everyone and their moms wanted the ASG pack.

Stores (footlocker) that shows up on the locator but DOESN'T have any ticket procedure/raffles. What doesn't that mean? People have to go there a wait in long lines? That was my question.
fcfs. i'd call to avoid any confusion though.

I think people here are so hard on these kinds of questions because making a phone call is relatively easy. the online experience has scared people off from making action contact/connections and it's really to your loss. you may learn some piece of info (even if it's unrelated to the question) that can help you out a lot. not meant directly at you, but just a general statement
