How rough if at all was the start? Figuring out inventory and shipping times etc.?
It was pretty rough knowing the risk involved but we knew what we were doing, luckily no big obstacles.

Amazon Fulfillment handles all returns/complaints a lot of the time they reimburse us. It is very easy to take the "L" since our items range from $5-$20

Why did Amazon shut the $4 million business down/suspend their account? What's your short term and long term goal for your business?
If things ever sour (let's hope not) between you and your business partner what would be your next move? What is your area of expertise and what are your responsibilities in the business? Do yall have a contract?
It shut down because of many quality complaints, previous bosses were cheap and greedy. We learned from their mistakes and doing things right.
Short term goal, make 1million gross this year, 3-4mil next year.
Long term goal, go into wholesale distribution, make our own brand but we need a lot of capital for that to be successful because we need to pay creative people and they aren't cheap.
We care about this company and about making money and we can't do it without what the other guy brings to the table. I handle logistics, transport, day to day operations, and I have to tackle the obstacles that arises with amazon, competitors, etc.
I am still one of you guys, I don't feel that I am bigger and better than anyone here. Ive been here since high school met a lot of cool people and ya'll like second family. Just thought Id share what I do and inspire some folks.

Does your company have its own website and store (online or brick and mortar) outside of amazon? If so what percentage of your profits comes from amazon v. outside
Fulfilled by amazon means- for a higher fee amazon gives you labels to tag each item and send it to a amazon fulfillment center. They handle storage, picking/packing, shipping, and customer service.
Pros of FBA (Fulfillment by amazon)
-Your items are eligible for prime
-Since amazon uses their shipping discounts a 4 pound item is $3 to ship (for example)
-Very High Fees
Selling yourself on amazon is rough because if you compute with the seller who utilizes FBA you already lost because customers will always shop with the confidence of prime. You pay shipping but fee is a flat rate of 15% which is still high
We have a warehouse were we receive the inventory from China process and send to fulfillment centers.
