NT Corporate BROTHAS...Serious question regarding hair

It's not as bad as a half moon caesar, but that line has GOT to go. I didn't say it looks bad. It looks good. It's just not CORPORATE PROFESSIONAL. No lines in your head at all. Plain and simple. A part has to happen naturally, not with a shaved line.

Take that exact same haircut, and lose the line, and you're good.

So me wearing my hair to the standards of a non black will make me perform better? Don't even want to know what you deem acceptable for black women who wear natural hair.

Who's back peddling? Lol my stance has been the same since page on. What difference does seperating hair with a comb or clipper make? What does either have to do with company productivity for it to be an issue?
LOL hairstyle has NOTHING to do with productivity. Bringing up productivity doesn't even make sense here. Everyone could rock mohawks and speedos it wouldn't effect productivity. It's about looking professional.

AND YOU ARE BACK PEDDLING. You said half moon caesars are professional looking. Then you posted a black guy with a traditional part, with NO shaved lines, where the hair on one side of the part is not of a shaved nature vs the other side. Both sides of the part have "traditional length". And separating hair with a clipper or comb? What's the difference? THe difference is one looks professional, and is acceptable in a corporate environment, and the other looks good chattin up that shawty.

i remember that one thread where cats was saying is having TOO crisp of a line unprofessional...

then, dudes was saying waves was unprofessional, too...

that social conditioning is a muh.

Is the ability to do your job and be productive not the number one reason a company hires someone? Lol the difference of a line in my head is one that is so huge that it will dictate if I am able to do a job or talk to a "shawty". Wow

No, AGAIN, you won't peform any better. Neither will as suit. Why do you keep bringing up performance and productivity? What does this have any baring on looking professional. If you wanna derail the focus of the conversation in that direction, I'd say ditching suits and allowing employees to dress however they deem comfortable would boost productivity and performance. But we are neither here nor there. It's a pointless element in this convo.

Looking professional has no relevance to performance or productivity. I just don't understand why you keep bringing that up.

I don't know why this is so hard for you to understand. By your argument...if I like my hair dyed blue, or mohawked, or whatever...I should be hired looking like that as long as I'm the most qualified?

I think you are kind of losing focus in this convo my dude. This isn't about your appearance effecting your ability to do a job.  Because  it doesn't. It's just a part of the package and you have to play the role. The role requires you to look professional. If you wanna shave a half circle in front of your dome and walk into a business interview, go right ahead. Any other black dudes in this thread willing to try that?

What is professional? How is it that I have a suit no facial hair a low cut and a damn slit in my hair I am not a professional? You are now discrediting my status as being a professional in my profession because you don't accept a 2-3 inch slit in my head. Lololololol Racist White Supremacy strikes again.

Are you really comparing blue hair to a 2-3 inch slit?

LOL at white supremacy striking again. Now you're just lookin silly my man. You clearly have some racial insecurities if you think the world views the slit in your head as unprofessional because you're black. It's not because you're black. Has nothing to do with that. White, brown, black....whatever. NO ONE is to have a line of any sort shaved into their head. Have the suit and no facial hair and a low cut. But put that slit in your head? No, that's def not professional.

Can I shave a half circle in my head and still look professional? By your account, you'd think I would say yes because I'm white (I'm bi racial btw). And the only thing that makes it unprofessional for YOU is being black. THAT'S NOT THE CASE. Neither one of us can rock a half caesar in the corporate world, got it? I mean, damn, did you just skip over the part where i compared white people cuts with clooney versus the other white cuts that won't make it in a corporate setting?

So yes, everything you mentioned in this quote of yours is professional, minus the "damn slit". Loose the slit, and you're good.

You can do what you want to your hair, I only care about if you can perform. The standards of what a professional black man should look like was created by whites. Lol I take it you think racist white supremacy = kkk. Lol systematic racism is a religion , and it's clear you follow the faith.

I guess you just won't get it. Any sort of aspect of your hair that is not traditional is a no no.

What is traditional? You mean the hair styles slave masters said we should have? Because Parts in hair is a traditional style that has been around since the early 1900s or even prior for blacks.

Dude you're so racially insecure it's ridiculous. It's not standards for black males. It's standards for males of all races. Lines are not anything you'd ever see any CEO or otherwise in a business environment wearing. It just doesn't look professional. It looks good, but it's def too casual for corporate settings. For the record WHITE PEOPLE CAN'T SHAVE LINES IN THEIR HEAD EITHER. I've said that many times but you keep ducking it. You're too caught up in your own racial insecurities where everything is a racial injustice at every possible conceived opportunity to NOT SEE HOW SOME THINGS REALLY ARE.

It's not because you're black dude, I promise. I'm not rocking any lines in my head to any interview and getting any job in a serious corporate environment, and I'm not black.

If you don't know what "traditional" is without someone explaining it to you, then I understand why you're having so much trouble understanding this concept. Like I said, if you can pull off that part that black dude you posted then go ahead. That looks totally professional and acceptable. My dude up there had no lines shaved in his head. And the hair on the short side of the part was off "traditional" length. While that haircut is a little more individualistic on a black male than we are used to seeing, and he'd def stand out a little more, it STILL LOOKS PROFESSIONAL.  Quit bringing up that hair cut when you are clearly talking about half moon caesars, or any low cut with a shaved line in it. If you wanna have a super low cut like that, you best leave the line out of it.  A part is done with a comb, not clippers.

You can't even tell me what traditional is. What is a traditional black man hair cut? Who started this tradition? What made this tradition acceptable from what was done prior? How can a white executive tell me what a traditional hair style is for me when his hair is not the same as mine nor has he ever had to live with it.

Dude nevermind you're so lost. You're too hung up on racist ideas to even listen to reason.

Traditional black man hair cut:

A hair cut that is clean and well kept. Nothing overly frizzy or of vastly varying lengths. No faux hawks, no lines, no super trendy line ups. Hair line can be somewhat modified, but must look natural. I wouldn't rock any super pointy line ups near the temples. Just keep it clean and simple. Flat tops are fine if they are nice and short. A part is fine if you can pull it off without shaving the line or the short side leading up to it. And lastly, NO HALF MOON CAESARS. Although I personally don't see anything wrong with regular low caesar as long as you don't have the line up lookin to eccentric or overly trendy.

why
Why can't you rock a 3 inch fro? Serious fam? You're interviewing for Charles Schwab, not The Roots. You wanna rock a pick in the back too?

....But you just gave me a corny joke instead of actually telling me why.

Same reason I can't.  And yes, I can make my hair do that. I mean if you can rock a 3 inch fro, why not a 5 inch, or 10 inch? Nah.....fro's are a no no for everyone.

If you wanna rock the same length all around, you better keep it under 2 inches. And it better be cleaned up all around. No stray strands longer than the others.

This is okay. Any longer than that is pushing it.
