Houston Rockets Thread - Preseason vs Spurs (Friday)

I'm curious what Smith is going to warrant from other teams and if he'd take a pay cut to stay with us.
 
Although Trev signed that declining scale contract, I thought we had a semi-steal for him at the time. Joint's looking like we took a mini L at times. Trev has got to dial it in on offense. at 35 min/game we need him to put up washington (last year) efficiency. Idk if we need to enable him better. Didn't want a ton of Wizards games, so idk if he was getting more comfortable looks there or what

I was on that Canaan bandwagon before he got traded but once he got to Philly I see why he didn't get much PT here. Hopefully Llul comes over been very interested in his game the past few years. Also we gotta try to resign brewer and smith. although working around the cap won't be easy
 
Got 2 sets of tickets, basically a pair in 419 row 4 and a pair in 404 row 8 for sale.

Something came up and won't be able to make the game, selling for face price bought through Toyota Center.

PM brahs if you're trying to go. Save on the fees/taxes from flashseats.

Smith had 2 years left on his Detroit deal before he got bought out, right? So he's getting his (full?) Detroit money for this year which is why he signed with us for the minimum for the rest of the season. Since he should still be getting paid by the Pistons next year, maybe he'd be willing to play with us again for the vet min while still collecting that Pistons paycheck and then get a fair contract the following season with the big salary cap increase?

I'm sure he could get a decent deal somewhere this summer though so he'd still be leaving millions on the table if he were to do that. It'd depend on how much he's liked playing here.

He's been awful at times, but I think he's an important piece moving forward. We can't forget how much our bench has been some *** in recent years and we've actually got a solid bench for the first time in a while. Brewer is also a must sign as well. He's definitely carried us through a handful of games this season for the short amount of time we had him.

Got flag football tonight. Going to be the hardest thing I've ever done, but going to dvr the game and run home afterward and watch it without spoiling what happened. Going to avoid all texts and espn alerts hopefully at all cost.

Almost feels like a must win. Let's get this over with and rest up for the next round.

I saw that pic a couple weeks ago and wasn't sure if that was a PS, a rumor, or the truth :lol: I had never heard it mentioned since.

Pretty sure all know the keys to the game tonight. Secure rebounds, both offense and defense, limit their role players (specifically Aminu and Barea), and hit FTs. That should provide a win, whether in dominating fashion or just by a couple points. Dallas is clearly gonna put up a fight, but I wouldn't mind at all a thorough beating, and to see them quit. Let's get it Rockets :pimp:
 
ha, yea idk if it was real, but it was buzzin.

we gotta play defense man. seriously, i understand the missed shots, but we can't possibly get wins when that happens without defense.
