Houston Rockets Thread - Preseason vs Spurs (Friday)

I sold upper bowl tickets for 325 that cost me 53 dhshsjdhdbabshdndhd

Daaayyyyyum

2002 was bad. Not like 2000 but not very good. The Warrios drafted Dunleavy 3 :rolleyes

Bunch of international players from that draft ended up with the Rockets.

Yao. Andersen. Scola.
Also Tito Maddux lol.

Man, not from the 02 draft, but I swear Sergio Llull has been on his way to the Rockets for 5 years now

From the stuff I read it seems like Llull is a lock for next season.

Morey seems to be pushing really hard for him.

Llull at the point next year would be

Im 50 50 on beating GS in the WCF if we win tomorrow but making it that far this year would be a huge stepping stone imo. I remember before the season started some people didnt even have us in the playoffs

I know that was before Smith and Brewer got here but still.

Apparently the refs we have today usually don't favor our style of play. Don't know anything about specific refs, but everyone on clutchfans seems pissed.

Just woke up a little while ago and seriously considered taking a flight from DC to Houston and buying some tickets for the game. So excited for it. Tickets seem crazy expensive for the lower level and last minute flights would rape me too. Luckily, I've got my dad's bday dinner tonight after the game so I'll use that as an excuse to save my pockets.

All we can do is hope that they come out intense and with some effort. We have the talent to beat anyone in this league, but it's just about wanting it. The clippers are 3-0 in game 7's with Blake, Jordan, and cp3, but home teams win 80% of game 7's. None of that **** matters at this point though. It's not going to be easy today. Just gotta come out and bust our *****, because the clippers definitely will come out with that same mentality.

effort and intensity has been there all playoffs. that only goes away when we're being out-executed and have no recourse. we need 4 quarters of focus and execution or prayer

Mauer and Brothers are beyond terrible. Don't know how they are still reffing much less in a game 7. Mauer was the same ref in the record low 5FT game against Chicago and the infamous Memphis no call game.

That being said, same situation as game 6. Don't leave it up to the refs and take care of business.

Yep, all out effort and intensity can keep this out of the refs' hands. Get a lead, and do everything to maintain it. Contest every shot, grab every board and bring it home.

Playing well to start, but man...these turnovers. Dwight 2nd foul was a late call and questionable...smh

Up 10 at half and have absolutely no room for error. Clippers already cut a 15 point lead down to 8 in a matter of a couple minutes. Gotta keep the intensity up on both ends. Had a couple plays toward the end of the half where harden just stood around dribbling by himself and everyone else just stood around watching. Ended up forcing a terrible shot with the shot clock winding down. Can't let **** like that happen.

24 more minutes.

****** prigioni...my favorite sleeper guy in 2k playing with all heart right now.

12 more min. Don't blow this.

Unreal man.

On to the next one. Gonna be even tougher, but it's all about effort and no lapses in energy/judgement.

we match up well with the warriors. smith, brewer, and jones can guard the 4's. ariza can guard curry. I trust the defense but the Rockets just gotta be consistent on offense.

Is this our year?

Everything just seems to be lining up man. Guys are stepping up they play besides our superstars. Pablo, Jet, J-Smoove, Brewer, Ariza, and even Jones at some points

We are starting to click at the right time and if we are able to cut out the sloppy play and TOs and continue to lock down on D we can definitely beat GS next round

We all saw how Memphis gave em problems when they locked up but Memphis cant put points on the board and stay in the game with GS. Houston can

I think history can be rewritten

I don't know how the next series will go, no one thinks we have a chance. I'm eager to see how the next series plays out

I was all in after the last game. The home win to get it to 3-2 was expected, but going down 19 then making that incredible comeback to tie it up, I pushed all my chips to the table and thought there was no way the Rockets would lose this. I only got uncomfortable twice during the game (when they cut it to either 3 or 6), then cut it to 10 with like 2:50 left. i was hoping in the back of my mind that we didn't leave Redick/Crawford/Barnes/Rivers open and burned us. Man....what a feeling right now. Everybody brought something, and today, the was Prigioni's game  :pimp: his hustle was so clutch. Dwight came through with the double double and contesting, Brewer, and Smith both came with the energy and timely 3s, and Ariza was the ironman again. I said at the beginning of the season that the move to bring in Ariza, and the overall feel of the team wasn't a sexy look like bringing in big time FAs, but I did feel like it brought more of a serious nature to the team. I also didn't expect the Smith, Brewer, and Prig moves to be made and pay so greatly. Harden anchored with 31, and glad he was the one going to the line most of the time late. We're the team the "Warriors wanted". Well, I'd love for us to punch them right in the mouth, and make a lot of people have egg on their faces.
