can't even lie. it's hard to be too enthusiastic bout my guys knowing McHale got extended 3 years. It's through the end of Dwight's contract. If we don't get a ship in that time period, Harden will be approaching "old" by then. Dwight may or may not be washed. We're getting by nightly on talent, depth, and Harden's improvement (and other players). I know the 'ship this year is "more open" and "anything can happen", but I'm not one to rely on pure chance. There are coaches with lesser talent playing chess. Even these new, budding coaches that got McHale. McHale seems to be a guy playing checkers. We just have no team IQ or instinct. We need somebody to implement a system and tendencies that bring out or guys strengths. Not just getting shots up. It's too volatile. /endrant, go Rockets

gotta go at they throats. they coming off a back to back and chasing us down in playoff seeding. our streaks both going into the break, and coming out of the break will be very critical. gotta do better, even if we have been doing well over the last 10-11 games
 
DMo started the game with the most minutes once he had to sub TJones. Mavs had Dirk playing the 5 with DMO out there, and we didn't go at Dirk. Towards the end of that run, Tyson Chandler was on DMO (DMo had bout 15 mins at this point) and we decided to go to DMO in isolation :lol:

the Mavs low-key really aren't that good. I know, broken record, but we're still getting by on talent. zero coaching/instinct.
 
s/o JET. dude was husting on defense. made some plays. s/o Josh tonight too. defense on dirk and help defense on chandler. big blocks. Too much talent. Gotta figure out how to harness it and bury teams into the ground. I hope Beard's knee/upper thigh deal doesn't sideline him or linger

Look at the balance with this team :smokin wish this could be the case every night. Even though Harden played 37min, it didt feel like loads of energy was expended. Josh Smith :pimp: this is the reason he was picked up. Not to me a #1 guy, but to play really good defense, and not afraid to hit any shots. With TJones back, even though it's just one game, seems like this bumps K-Pap out the lineup. I think it's safe to say we could probably see him (and maybe even Shved) on the second half of back to backs. Got Boston coming up. Time to wash them as well, and maybe even experiment with lineups.

Hopefully we can wrap this game up early, even on the road. I do think the Celtics will still play us tough, but with great balance like last game against a better team in Dallas, a W should be sealed fairly early.

Also, I'm sure ya'll have heard the news on Howard missing extended time. I haven't seen anything specific, but it sounds like he's gonna be out til after the All Star break, which is right on time. That just means the margin of error has gotten smaller.

Here's the schedule for the next handful of games:

good stuff man. i agree though. i think we have to come out with intensity early and play a full game. we low-key got a target on our backs every night because of the talent here and our stars aren't always the most loved across the league. so we gotta turn up nightly going into and out of this break heavily imo. we need to bury teams which we really haven't been doing. especially with Dwight gone. and whatever potential lag for him to return to healthy form. we can do it, just gotta make it happen

Mostly followed the game on twitter, then happened to catch a replay at BJ's Brewery last night, but that NINE POINT 3rd quarter :x :x :x damn sure can't have things like that, cause up against teams like GSW/SA/Wiz/Memphis, etc, teams would completely bury us pulling off stuff like that. But here's another night that Smith comes in handy, when Dwight is out and Harden underperforms, you have another guy who can still get you points, and is getting more and more efficient as the games go by. Speaking of points though, D-Mo :smokin :smokin his post moves are just insane. So effortless.
