Houston Rockets Thread - Preseason vs Spurs (Friday)

Happy birthday daawwwwwg :pimp: I was confused at first, thinking that was Dwight's bday, but could've sworn that was like 2 weeks ago :lol:

Almost forgot this was the early game today. Feel like both rosters are unpredictable right now cause of injuries to us, and how up and down the Wiz are as a team in general.

Only saw highlights earlier as I was at the beach way before the game even started, but I liked what I saw from the highlights, especially winning :lol: Saw that Johnson got some time, and even though he looked spastic on offense, it seemed like he played very good defense, which bodes well for him getting more PT. Pretty balanced effort from everybody tonight, and hopefully things like that will carry into the playoffs, especially if we're able to be at full strength.

Also, feels good to be in 2nd place. Only a half game up on the Grizz, but I'll take it. If the playoffs were to be set were they are now, with us facing the Mavs, I wouldn't mind at all.
 
nick johnson has good enough athleticism to stick imo. even though he's short, he might be able to guard other PGs. he's not polished enough offensively. got caught in a couple bad moments with floor spacing, got the ball at a bad time in the shot clock. if he works on his jumper and ball handling skills, he can't be much worse than beverly, right?

Knew Capela was gonna be a nice player ever since I seen his videos after we drafted him.

Hes such a raw player but has came along way since the beginning of the season.

Dude has soo much potential if he can get some type of offensive game

Also why tf wasnt Capela in there down the strecth to rebound and defend the rim. It seemed like we couldnt get a rebound for **** and there was alot of layups late down the stretch 
 
missing dwight jones and motiejunas, with still a good shot at winning if we hit our FTs. frustrating, but it is what it is.
 
no troll but demar really beat harden at his own game today. wish he'd do it more often

demar harden-super light needs to just be the east coast harden
 
Crappy loss. i'm not tooooo mad about it, but this was another one of those games where you had everything at your disposal to win, regardless of the guys you had out. Liked what i so from Capela and Johnson. Both showed they they can get some playoff looks down the stretch. I was puzzled as to why Capela wasn't in there as well. It was working having him in the game, and they just went away from it. Reminds me of some Texans games. DeRozen scoring 42 is :x :x i almost didn't even notice he was scoring til very late. The rebounding was a problem at the wrong times. There were multiple possessions when there were 4 Rockets guys going for a rebound and somehow a Raptor still got the board.

Another reason this loss stinks is cause we're back in third since MEM has the tie-breaker. W's are premium regardless who's playing.
