Houston Rockets Thread - Preseason vs Spurs (Friday)

lmaoooo

Two talented dudes in Olidepo(sp?) and Vuciviec(sp?). I feel like Dwight has to re-establish himself as a dominant big man. He's had too many so-so games, all that could be attributed to injury/early silly fouls.

This. Dwight has been so meh as of late.

I don't think I've been more pissed at a regular season game. The Rockets just let the Magic completely clown them. Weak lackadaisical effort early on, only played defense in spurts, and truly just traded baskets until the clock hit zero. That usual defensive intensity we have was pretty much non-existent. This was probably a fantastic game to watch live, a track meet, like Oregon vs Boise State or something, but this was trash defensively. And now we have OKC at home after they get like 10 days of rest. This can only get better.

Fantastic win tonight, but it just makes you wish that they didn't flush themselves down the toilet last night. But can't go wrong with this wire to wire win, though if you've been a Houston sports fan long enough, you know no lead is ever safe  Dwight was going early, D-Mo was cooking, Harden was continuing to be the MVP, Ariza continued to shoot and definitely defend well, and Pat was way more positive than negative as well. We also got the good and bad Josh Smith tonight, but mostly good. That run where he was either in the paint scoring, or driving to kick it out for someone's open 3 was great, and actually keyed one of the very last runs we needed. Off a back to back playing a fully healthy and rested OKC team, the only thing better than that, would be beating GSW on Saturday...

View media item 1357301Two fully healthy top squads....this should be a good one. I don't want to just compete against them, I want a win, and something nice and dominant would be nice. Need to have all the guys holding their weight, cause this won't be an easy game.

Anything to really say about this game? Two fully healthy squads and we got owned like we were the Knicks. Let Curry and Thompson combine for 54, and let Green, David ******* Lee, and even Bogut here and there just treat us like ****. Should've kept feeding Dwight on the inside. The game was still in hand when we were going that, and for some odd reason, we just went away from it. Credit is also given to GSW's perimeter D, which forced us to feed Dwight during that time. What a bad inexcusible loss. Didn't help that Harden didn't show up either.

Couldn't watch the game based of the recap and box score Harden played like **** and Curry and Klay played well the Warriors are a better team they are ready to contend right now while we may be another piece away or maybe just a minor tweak

whats up fellas? been a while

Nice rebound win, even though it got sketchy near the end. Got the Warriors on Wednesday up there at the Oracle. A statement really needs to be made. We went 3-1 vs them either last year, or the year before, and at least getting a lone win against them Wednesday could be good moving forward. Just need 1 game, even if they only lost 1 up there.

more to be found here, for comparison around the league sake

This is painful to watch right now. Poor transition D and hopeless Dwight post ups....hopefully something changes in the second half but, im not hopeful. The Warriors are the best team in the league ATM.

This stinks. The effort started to stall, and GSW's picked up. The turnovers are pissing me off so much

I think its safe to say the original plan for Dwight when he signed here was to opt out after year 2 and re-up on a new max. Any of yall think he might not opt out or the Rockets might not offer a new max with the way he seems to have regressed this year?
