Houston Rockets Thread - Preseason vs Spurs (Friday)

@MarkBermanFox26: According to NBA-TV Rockets 69-65 win over OKC is lowest winning point total since 2004

Dwight never plays well against OKC. I remember the announcers said at one point since he had left orlando he was shooting 38% from the field against the thunder. Regardless this was a game the rockets would of lost last year especially when the offence got stagnant. Our D has def changed the complexion of this team and it got us the W today

Were playing too slow. Killing the offense.

the fact we can't sustain offense in a slower pace worries me so much. mchale said in an interview with craig ackerman that he doesn't like slowing the game down because he has to call plays. we don't have enough players that can create offense, and we don't run an offense that creates enough easy looks. not to mention, we're not making the open looks we're getting right now.

I'm gonna chalk up last nights game too fatigue after playing a physical game in OKC, BUT you could see last night that what killed the Rockets last year could kill them this year...The game gets slow in the playoff so they are going to have to learn to play well at that pace. If not it'll be another first round exit.

Agreed. What a woeful and embarrassing loss. This reminded me of the Texans/Giants game from earlier this year, where you could see plays being made, but you knew nothing would come of it. Outside of Beverley, there was nothing at all that went right. Howard and Harden had little impact, and the bench only scored in garbage time. Well...actually garbage time started very early, so never mind. Can't have more pathetic performances like that. This also makes me wonder exactly how much we may miss TJones. I just can't see these types of games happening if he's starting, with D-Mo coming off the bench. The Laykers should be a nice snack, but remember, we're the Houston Rockets --- Where Difficulty Happens.
