@sam_amick: Another huge hit for Houston: I'm told Donatas Motiejunas is out for the season with his back injury. Story to come at @USATODAYsports

Who you tellin :smh: :smh: lost our best post player. Who's our next best post player? Josh Smith. I just hope he doesn't start trying too damn hard.

we can't catch a break

Capela/Jones/Smith gotta step up

****!! Dmo out is another huge hit for us smh

Those easy buckets he would get close to the rim are now gone and he played pretty good positional defense.

Seems like all the odds are against us

First we lose Bev now Dmo... Just means other people have to step up hopefully our guys are up for the test and make these playoffs memorable

Dorsey simply being on the floor has killed off momentum continuously. Capela can't be any worse man, i need Dorsey and his clueless *** off the floor. Need Brewer, Smith, and now Prig to have an even more significant impact

I was telling that to people all day at school.

DMo getting hurt is obviously bad, but it's so much worse cause Dorsey is going to have to play more minutes.

no offensive flow whatsoever

not playing defense on top of that

surprised we're not down 30+ like OKC last night

Dorsey in extended minutes is awful, especially playing against teams like this, the elite ones.

I'm also not getting why not only Capela hasn't gone in, but Nick Johnson. Prig is playing pretty well and Terry has 3 fouls, nick has to be getting SOME time of PT, just on athleticism alone. This game is getting out of hand.

I don't see why Johnson can't be thrown in the starting lineup,

Prig and Terry are too old, let this boy get some playing time, ffs Mchale, nothing to lose imo

Ditto. Prig still played well, but with Bev out, and potentially taking on any combo of Lillard/Conley/Steph/Westbrook, don't you need some athleticism to go along with the experience Terry/Prig bring??

Ugly *** game tonight. Dwight was awesome, Prig played well, and Ariza came to play, but along with Harden being extra regular, no one else did anything/ Jones/Brewer/Terry were non-existent, Smith was taking bad shots, and the overall feel of the team was just lifeless. Spurs had guys just flying for every loose ball, contesting every shot, and our guys were mostly just watching and doing nothing in particular. Can't have that on Friday. This is a game we NEEED. The Rockets can legit go from 3-6 in an instant. 4-1 would be ideal, but we're also banking on Memphis, SA, LAC, and POR all at least losing twice.

this won't happen, but i'd like to see nick start on friday to guard parker. our guards had trouble fighting through screens to get back to parker and contest his floaters/jumpers

EXACTLY!!!! Morey has stockpiled this team with talent and Mchale refuses to use it. I understand he's a rook...but damn throw him out there and see what he can do. He's quick enough to stay with Parker...and least let him burn 6 fouls trying to gaurd him to throw off SA's flow.

it's risky on the other end because he brings nothing to the table offensively. just another guy to help off of.

i'd still like spot minutes though. definitely want to see what adjustments are made between yesterday and friday.

If I remember correctly he was pretty good offensively at Arizona. I realize this is the NBA but he averaged double digits and was a decent shooter. He may be able to give the Rockets at least what Pat Bev did offensively...hit the open jumber/occassional slash to the basket. Who knows...he may suck at practice...but with all the injuries and letting Canaan go what do the rockets have to lose by giving him some burn. At least see what he has before the playoffs; if he gets his doors blown off bury him back on the bench. At least you'd know.
