Very early on, the race of your character has an impact on how other characters of the game view you and how play the game.
The pic above is an example of that aspect of the game. A white character asks you why that child is with you.
It's a great game, if you're interested.

reach.

Deflection.

What I said is true, you obviously love to see these threads just so you can come in and complain about them.
"It's your fault these threads exist. You bump them!"

I don't see how it's a reach. The VERY beginning of the game you're being transported to prison. You escape. Now you have to deal with the racial stigma of being black and having been sentenced to prison. But you escaped. Will people still treat you as that type of black person, if you be truthful. Or should you lie about that, so people don't get riled up? The game gives you that choice.  That's just another example of now race was important in that game.

No. You did not play that game thinking how the other characters would react to your answer because you are BLACK.

You played the game how YOU wanted to play. It was a colorless character in 95% of the game. YOU were the character.

Depending on how you played, Lee was a great protagonist.

Are you black?

I'm black, so yes I did think about how other characters would react to my answers. Like I do in real life. Since the protagonist was black. The walking dead is based in the south.

The first chapter was not a colorless game. That fact that you're a black guy was made evident to you by how you had to either lie or be truthful about your relation to Clem or that you were supposed to be incarcerated.

TWD game was one of the best games to deal with race. Which as you already know, few games even touch on that subject.

except for the part when
shawn brings you to herschel's farm, and introduces you and clementine. hershel then proceeds to ask her if she knows you after shawn already told him who you were.  i also didnt like his tenor if you didnt tell him your name. and not to mention larry and "i know what you really are" before leaving you to die with no apparent repercussions.

Posting that in these threads doesn't help your cause. That's what I'm basically saying. Can't be that hard to understand. If you just gonna laugh that off then wallow in ignorance. Instead of the practical thing, like ignoring these threads

Herschel's a racist though.

Son kinda gave up on life with the walkers in the barn which is why he didn't get all holier than thou when Glenn started piping his daughter but then again going off those racial stereotypes he probably wasn't threatened. Had it been Tyrese smashing that bet we would've saw the klan sheets come out.

I'm not.

Look, I understand WHY you would think like that. I just don't think the developers were like "hey, this guy's black, so let's have the characters question him being with the child". It was a black guy with a child that looked nothing like him. I don't think it's outlandish for other characters to question their relationship. If Lee was an Asian guy or even a white guy and Clem was a different race I really believe the characters would be asking the same questions. It's a zombie invasion and people are scared and uneasy about who to trust.

The only reason why I came into this thread is because of paul mooney being in the title of this thread.

A lot of folks wont understand, some wont give a damn but paul mooney is the truth.
