That's exactly what I thought of when Malone was canned. You can't expect to be a running team when you don't have the horses with this makeshift roster. Right now it feels like we have a bunch of different pieces to a bunch of different puzzles, nothing goes together. And it doesn't help when the guy who put this roster together says he thinks as long as you're an nba player you can run.

if they fired Malone with a guy like Karl or some other proven winner lined up to take his spot it would be fine.

Instead they threw away the stability in this franchise by firing a coach that had the team overachieving and a coach who all the players respected and loved (usually not the case when coaches get canned). they fired him with no plan, just to let Corbin coach the rest of the season and then most likely put their buddy Mullin in there for next season.

And they fired him because they want to play some uptempo ******** style
