Sacramento Kings season thread | 32-48 | 4/13 @ HOU 5pm

we just need to put a really bad idea that would only serve to hurt the franchise even more, and that would likely be enough to entice those two idiots to play in traffic.

Bill Herrenda pulling the ole ESPN "sources" to report news 5 minutes after news had been broken and not credit the folks who actually first reported the news

:smh: Can't believe Cousins didn't get on the All-Star team. All-Star was looking like a lock for him when the season started. It was the only thing left I was looking forward to as a Kings fan with the way our season turned out. I'm glad he's on our team, but he deserves better.

I'm not sure about that

hate to say it but i'm pretty sure i'd be enjoying basketball more at this moment if the team had moved to Seattle
If the Kings had moved, I prob wouldn't have gotten back into basketball for at least 5 years.

srs.

I know you don't quite consider yourself a Sacramentan and you weren't around NT in 2013 for that whole thing, but it was wild/heartbreaking times.

Vivek meddling with the team and screwing up the season, I can sort of let go eventually.

The Maloofs vanquishing basketball from Sacramento tho? Thats another story

in other news, the 49ers and Jed York are joining the Kings and Vivek in investing in the Sacramento Republic bid for an MLS squad

i wasn't on NT but i lived the whole thing. i was all over Twitter every day.  monitoring it every couple minutes for the next piece of news. i went to the HereWeStay games and all that crap

i don't live IN sac but i go to tons of games (not right now

) and Kings basketball is like legit one of the most important things for me, as ****** as that sounds.  But since the team moving was a real possibility (and i've considered moving to the northwest) i had come to terms with just being a fan of the team still if they did become the Sonics....

LMAO about the 2 worst owners you could ever have making decisions are joining forces!

luckily just as investors

Will they be the two major investors? One of them won't make it out alive...
Or both

I believe Kevin Nagle is still the lead investor, with Vivek and York as minority owners....... just having those 2 guys in the back pocket will look good for the MLS. They're always looking for guys with $$$

Idk if you follow the MLS, but Robert Kraft owns the New England Revolution and until this year when the team made a run to the finals, they had been one of the cheapest teams in the league

it's quite inexpensive to fund the payroll of these franchises.... so here's hoping this ownership group will at least pour some funds in and just spend...

Here's a look nice inforgraph on team by team payroll... the disparity between the 1% stars and the rest of the league is

would not be surprised if there was a lockout....

I feel you, I guess thats just the other side of the coin then.

I think the vast majority of Kings fans were ready to, at minimum, take a break from basketball for a little while

personally, I wouldn't wish ill-will on the players themselves, but there was no way in hell I would be able to watch them in Sonics green and gold without it feeling like I was getting stabbed in the heart.

Rep for Kings basketball being the most important thing to you. Some of the realest, long winded posts I've made on NT were about the Kings leaving and the implications it would have on the future of Sacramento and my life, I'm with you about that sounding ******

 but its true.

Sure, we've joked about giving up our fanhood on this team, especially if Cousins left... but tbh I'm just blowing smoke. Taking a step back, I don't think its possible the Kings could be this terrible for forever

.... right?
