Regular seasons? Yes. Once we get to the playoffs? Out in the 1st or 2nd round annually.

meh we haven't won 30 games in a season in how long?  i'll be ecstatic just to get to the playoffs again....

plus Karl had Mr. Playoff loser Carmelo Anthony in Denver.

in Seattle he made the Finals but ran into Prime Jordan.

He's never had a guy like Boogie, who will cause another team a TON of problems in a playoff series.

i'll worry about the playoffs when we actually get there

QFT

agreed with all of the above.

Lets win some games first, then worry about playoff failure.

babysteps.

as a small market, we can't make a NBA landscape changing signing or having players demand trades to come to Sac like the Lakers or Heat or etc can. So the only way we can build up is by taking little steps forward and hope we don't take too many steps backwards while we're on this journey... (ie firing Malone)

That explains the 2004 Olympics too then I guess.

But don't forget about 1995 against Denver.

I agree though... Let's make the playoffs first, then get disappointed again.

He's also only had like 2 seasons out of 25 where his team finished under .500 so i'm not going to complain about the hiring or his playoff record when we have a team that hasn't sniffed the playoffs in a decade

Nuggets was '94, in '95 they bowed out to the Lakers 3-1 in the first round. Idk what's worse because that really wasn't a great Lakers team that year.

People focus on that Denver series and forget how equally (if not more) embarrassing that Lakers series was. It was a 4-5 matchup, but the Sonics were still nine games better than them. Shawn Kemp played like a beast, but Nick Van Exel couldn't miss and it was over in 4 games. That was really awful.
