Kings fans explain a few things to me.
Is it true your former GM was the reason Malone was fired? So now he's the assistant GM in Denver or whatever yet they hire Malone. How's this make sense again?

I do not believe Pete actually works for the Nuggets directly. He now instead works for Josh Kroenke, not on the basketball side of things. So sort of indirectly for the Nuggets I suppose.
I'm assuming Malone probably knew NBA head coaching opportunities are tough to come by so he decided to bury the hatchet with Pete, especially when they won't have nearly the same relationship they had here in Sacramento.
But yes, I do agree that it is kind of weird
