i was pretty underwhelmed with my one and only Pho experience

what didnt you like about it?

Idk there was just some stuff in it that I could do without. And it was just overall meh. Didn't even finish it.

Sounds like you're not a fan of tendon and tripe. Get the one with just the flank steak and brisket. You can also order the chicken pho too which is a different broth and has shredded chicken pieces

tendon, tripe, brisket, rare steak on the side

hold the meatballs, I dont eat pencil erasers.

Anyone have any recommendations for sushi spots? I find myself frequenting Sushi Hook but I think I've tried everything they have to offer. I went to Taro by Mikuni's the other week, and even though the food was good I wasn't too thrilled about paying $75 tip included for 2 people.

Mikuni is the only spot I can really recommend tbh

the DT spot Vlade and Demarcus frequent quite often

I love sushi but I'm no connoisseur. Fuji's is good enough for me

Also nigiri >>> your favorite roll

It's not great, but I always go to Arigatos for the price. It seems like they raise the price everytime I come back home tho

I like what this thread has turned into.

The prices are very comparable to Sushi Hook because they give 50% off rolls too. The two restaurants are like less than a mile apart

If it's just down Howe I might have tried Sushi Hook. Actually, I think it was this thread that made me give it a try

A good spot in the bay is Sushi House in Alameda. The lion king roll there is good. Got me craving sushi for dinner now
