NFL Week 5 In Review...

COLTS:
-Luck threw for 300 plus against that ravens defense, the red zone was a struggle until Luck decided to take things into his own hands and scamper for a TD :smokin
-Vontae Davis low key one of the best corners in the lague this year :smokin
-Dwayne Allen is a monster
-Reggie and TY did work again.

I read a stat yesterday that said yesterdays game was the first time since 2012 that Reggie Wayne caught a ball on 3rd down and it didn't result in a first down, His last 32 receptions on 3rd down were converted for 1st downs before that play...

REST OF THE LEAGUE:
-Romo making Watt look silly was :smokin ... he aint the mvp
-Rivers doing work, keenan allen has been MIA tho :nerd:
-I LOVE THE AFC SOUTH!!
-Cincy isnt about that life

They're not "horrifically" built, because they do have a solid front 7. It's just that the secondary and some parts of the offense were poorly assembled. Also, having an offensive coordinator not putting Geno Smith in the best situations to succeed is also hurting their young QB's development in the NFL.

There's plenty of blame to go around in all different sort of directions here. It's just not coming from one singular source.

I want to say it starts with Idzik :smh: . Under prepared this team going into the preseason and still made no significant moves.

"Significant moves" like the Bucs make every year? The one guy he did sign, Decker, has been a good fit.

You have to build through the draft. Though his record there has been pretty spotty two. Couple big misses with Geno and Milliner.

Atleast Bucs have been playing with some heart the past couple of weeks.
That was a blatant fumble by Colston at the end that would have changed the whole game. Didn't even cross through Lovie's damn head to call a timeout or throw a challenge though.
Michael Johnson just doesn't look very good....
It would be surprising at this point if Doug Martin hangs onto his starting job for a few more weeks. Rainey seems to replace him any time there's an important drive or play. Sims will take even more work away when he gets back.

Brandon Lloyd is still a ridiculous athlete.
Gronk looked like Gronk :pimp:
Demaryius looked like Demaryius :pimp:
Eagles are 4-1 despite not even playing particularly well at any phase of the game consistently all year. They need Mathis and Kelce back in the worst damn way.
I hope Carson Palmer can get back on the field this week. I wanna see the Cardinals do well and that ain't gonna happen with Logan Thomas as QB.

Has Decker been a good fit? Dude has been injured and has made drops in key spots left and right. Not giving up on him by any means, but so far Decker isn't panning out in our advantage.

And the problem with Idzik in at GM is he is a Cap guy; he knows nothing else football related. His drafts have been buns sans Sheldon Richardson.

Funny because Tanenbaum was also a cap guy.

After last night at least we know the Diplomats will only lose 1 more game for the rest of the year, ain't that right @JAYFIEND..."no complaints"

I think Idzik is saving all that money for the new regime. Jets going to open that checkbook next year, only player they have to re-sign is Mo

I'm not defending Idzik, but it's classic bad team logic to blame the new guy when your team has had the same problems forever.  Knicks fans do the same thing cheering for their coach to be fired every year when they're bad no matter what coach they have.

Stockholm syndrome.

Anyway Woody Johnson is clearly the problem.

Idzik is a huge part of the problem. Poor draft and didn't do much in the offseason. Jets didn't even want him but they couldn't get anyone else. Jets are screwed.

Amen. I won't give idzik and wrecks a pass either. It all starts from the top.

There is no conceivable reason why the New York Jets should be $20M under the cap. That right there starts with the owner.

They set up their coach to fail with missed opportunities in the offseason.

You didn't even need all $20M to prevent Geno from getting killed every week. Are you trying to develop your second year QB or not?

**** is dumb.

I can't **** with owners that cheap out. No excuse for it in that market.

I do think Idzick is a problem as well. Drafting guys like Milliner and Geno Smith turned out to be horrible choices. The Jets need to build through the draft and look for a QB first and foremost. Everything is built around that position.

There once was a time when the Jets did spend money and it paid off (pun not intended). I think it was during the 2007 offseason when we signed guys like Damien Woody and Allan Faneca. Coincidentally, the team went on to play in two straight AFC title games

Damn yall ready to give up on Milliner 2 games into his 2nd season?

He had a lot of hype and was prolly a reach at 9 looking back but I like dude. His rookie season was up and down but NFL CB is prolly one of the hardest positions in sports period, he played better to end the season and was one of the few bright spots I saw on Sunday

I think one of the biggest things is some of these guys have a lil bit of a hard time adjusting after being coached by Saban. You kinda have to learn how to play CB a new way cause he has them playing man using that bump n shuffle technique a lot rather than a traditional backpedal.

In the league you have hella option routes plus the 5 yard rule, etc so unless you're playing zone that **** will get you ate up. I think that's why dudes like Dre Kirkpatrick and Kareem Jackson struggled coming in
