Utterly disrespectful to call James Harden the new "King James". The Bearded One needs to win a ring first. He jumped ship from OKC, like LeBron did Cleveland back in 2010. James Harden needa' win a ring, and then i'll allow the media to call him the new "King James". "So-so-so disrespectful" *50 Cent voice*

Get your facts straight. OKC chose between Westbrook and Harden because they weren't able to afford both past their initial rookie contracts.

What is the consensus on who Gordon Hayward is right now compared to Paul George from last seaeson? I remember a while back, people were saying George was head and shoulders better than Hayward.

I think they are about even.

OKC could've afforded them both, they just decided not to because of Perk's contract.
Wednesday's deadline to extend Harden or allow him to become a restricted free agent next July had been hanging over the Thunder from the moment they reported to training camp, but sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein late Saturday the Rockets intend to sign the swingman to the max contract extension he was seeking before Wednesday's midnight deadline.

The Thunder offered Harden $55.5 million over four years -- $4.5 million less than the max deal Harden coveted and will get from the Rockets, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.

"We wanted to sign James to an extension, but at the end of the day, these situations have to work for all those involved. Our ownership group again showed their commitment to the organization with several significant offers," Thunder general manager Sam Presti said in a statement.

George is superior because of his defense, Gordon is a better shooter/playmaker.

Is Gordon's defense that low on the pole in comparison to George, though? I don't think he's one of those guys that plays one side of the ball. He just lacks some of the physical attributes to help make him more of an elite level defender (i.e. alligator arms)

Kind of doesn't make sense to a guy who is playing to one who is not. Hayward has improved this season, so he closed the gap on the PG we last saw. But maybe PG would have improved this year too, if he could have played. I'll re-evaluate after PG is back.

Curry numbers in the past 5 games.

26.8/7/3/2 52% from the field 52% from 3 100% from the line.

where were those numbers vs the cavs :frown:

I would definitely say that Hayward is in that upper echelon of 3s in the league.

Nick Young really plans on coming out swinging everytime someone comes at her sideways I see.

DeAndre Jordan put up 16 and 17 for February.

Averages 17 points 20.5 rebounds and 2 blocks over his last 8, shooting 68% from the field.

At least ten teams have expressed interest in JaVale McGee after he and the Philadelphia 76ers agreed to part.

Philly was trying to convince McGee to take a buyout but he said he didn’t want to do that, prompting the Sixers to just waive him. The team will still pay him the rest of the money he’s owed this season as well as the $12 million next season.

Now, a number of teams are jumping into the competition to snag McGee off the market. Although he’s underperformed his whole career and has been cut by two teams now, McGee is still 7’0″ and can rebound and score in spurts.

A source told Marc Spears of Yahoo that ten teams, mostly playoff contenders, have already expressed interest in the 27-year-old.

Sam Amick of USA Today indicated that the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and Miami Heat are among the teams that could very well be interested in acquiring McGee to bolster their benches.

The Spurs would seem a strange fit for the immature McGee, but the other three teams could certainly use another big man, even if it’s just for insurance in case of further injuries. Chris Bosh and Tyson Chandler are among the current injuries across those teams.

Other teams that could try to acquire McGee include the Chicago Bulls, with Taj Gibson injured; the Portland Trail Blazers, whose backup big Joel Freeland has just recovered from injury; and the New Orleans Pelicans, who are relying on backup Alexis Ajinca for heavy minutes due to injuries.

:nthat:

As someone who's watched DJ is whole career, he's exceeded even my wildest expectations for him by wide margin. I thought his absolute highest ceiling was maybe Tyson Chandler lite, but what he's doing this year is right up there with prime Tyson. Chandler is still probably an overall better defender, but DJ's gotten much better.

I will forever miss him and Mike Taylor's pregame dunk contests.

Swaggy P defending Iggy & her music, is just like when Kanye said Beyoncé has pictures of Kim K on her wall for "inspiration." We know that's your girl and all, but you don't have to lie to us.

Nick young is a chump. I hate that dude is a laker so much. Dude got mad over dude saying the truth bout his girls music... Extra lame...

Westbrook was already signed, from the previous year.. Durant got a 6 year deal because it came before the new cba.. Then westbrook got the 5 year deal

I think you are trying to say okc choose between ibaka and harden, which they didn't because they were trying to sign both ibaka just accepted his offer..

As you posted above, okc had a final offer of 55 mill and change.. However harden was aware there were teams willing to pay him 80, so you don't factor that in the actions of him and his agent

And as has been mentioned numerous times before, the smart thing to do would have been to amnesty perkins if money was an issue.. Not choose between any of the main guys
