Magic was the kind of player who could dominate a game without taking a shot, not so sure why that would have to change in today's nba.

We're talking PPG though. Which he'd have to take a shot to gain.

25 is a stretch, could he average 20-10-10 I whole heartedly think so. Also think Mike would average close to 40 ppg and Chuck would be putting down near 27 and 15 Prime Shaq numbers.

That's my only knock on Mudiay though, the competition he's facing. Do you remember Willie Warren? Played with Blake at OK and was supposed to be a lottery pick at one point, son is over there averaging 40 points per game in that league

If his team needed 25 on a given night, absolutely. But over 82? No way dude. Magic was not wired like that.

I dunno what Magic your talking about then. Magic was as big of a competitor as any player ever. Intangibles much?

agreed. Another guy Dennis Rodman was also brought up. Wonder what kind of damage he would do in the league today? Defense, hustle, rebound much. All time finals record 11 offensive rebounds in saving MJ.

Magic was fantastic and he would be great today. But I don't think Magic had the offensive repertoire to consistently pump out 25 a night. Hell no.

He had some very unique skills that will translate to any era of basketball, but he also played in an era that was completely catered to what he does best. Very little defense, breakneck pace, no real emphasis across the league on scoring pg's, all of that made for a perfect storm for Magic to flourish in.
