Austin is a PG. He's just been really bad for most of his stint in the NO. But he's a PG. He doesn't have the size, athleticism, or shooting to be a 2 guard.
Austin Rivers is a PG simply because nothing suggest he can be a 2 at the NBA level. Really simple.
But there's even less to suggest he can be a PG at the NBA level. I don't think he has a single PG bone in his body. He's a 2 by default because he doesn't have PG skills.

Austin Rivers isn't close to monta ellis. He doesn't have the midrange ability or the athleticism so I don't know what you're talking about. Austin Rivers is a PG simply because nothing suggest he can be a 2 at the NBA level. Really simple.
yo, austin rivers is probably one of the most athletic dudes in the league.

no troll, only reason he's been getting looks is because of his atheticism

If austin didn't go to duke and you where still allowed to come straight out of highschool, he would have been number 2 or maybe even number one pick.

Do you cats even follow basketball?

you know what...you talking so crazy you can have it. pointless.

Derrick Rose is scared as **** to go to the hole like he use to.

If you look at pre 2012 Derrick Rose the difference is written all over his face.  He has absolutely no fire in his eyes whatsoever anymore.  He always looks like hes coasting.  I dont know if its the Adidas contract, or the new kid, or what, but ever since that MVP offseason when he got all that money he just doesnt seem to care anymore

watching or highlight jocking? sounds like the former imo

he def isnt 100% so no hes not attacking the cup like mvp rose but its not like hes only shooting & never attacking at all. & hes back to 2009 rose ref wise because hes not getting 1/4 of the calls he used to when there is CLEAR contact under the hole, which causes him to float out & the floaters/long jumpers off dribble start to happen now before it wouldnt matter because he would score regardless but now its just not falling. a lot closer at this point in the season compared to the start but its just not falling consistently yet

I believe in Austin dammitttt!!!!  I think in the right environment he can do some things.  This is the best situation he's gonna get, so lets see what happens.

and for the record I used to be the biggest Monta Ellis supporter, I even started a thread about him going to the All Star game a cpl years ago.  All Im saying is that anybody can look good it just depends on the team and system.  Nobody cared about Monta Ellis until now, and all of a sudden he's the final piece to the championship puzzle.  And on the Clippers, the same was for J Crawford, for ten years he was a combo guard on bad teams jacking up shots like he had zero chill, and as soon as he plays the bench for playoff teams, hes the hottest thing since sliced bread.

bruh I be watching all the stream games def not highlight jocking.  I got the Chicago/Atlanta playoff game frm 2011 on my phone now and both teams just played each other this season.  There is a noticeable difference.

2011 he was talking about he wanna be the best ever, nowadays he talking about he dont wanna be sore for his meetings after he retires.

Disagree. If there's one thing that's good about him, is that he's shown he can get into the paint and create a bit for himself and his teammates. Has shown this year at least that he has the capacity to be a decent playmaker from that position. He isn't good enough to a PG for an extended amount of time, but for 15 to 22 minutes a night ? I'll allow it. He can't be worse than Farmar has been this year

Now guys are talking about Austin Rivers?  The guy is too pristine to bang.  He looks like 17 and weighs like light welter weight.  Dude needs to eat more lobster in Boston.  He gets bullied on both ends.  Another soft Duke player with fake toughness.

I would say miles.....I would say a few kilometers lol

Hell no man he's an average to below average athlete at the NBA level.
You're probably the type of dude who didn't think john wall was athletic till he won the dunk contest?

I say this to point out that that's one of the things that's perhaps held him back, he wants to be an iso athlete when he'd be better served to be a crafier player who knocks down a consistent jumper and a reliable floater.

there is & i agree with that but to say he aint attacking & is loafing/coasting is crazy. hes clearly timid & the start of all the games determines what kinda game he will have & as i said when he starts off attacking & not getting calls he floats & in 2009-11 he would just start attacking more & MAKE the refs make the right call now hes just giving up early & shooting because he feels comfy with shooting after the 2 popped knees. im positive it will all come together after the asb

hope you arent basing any of your thought on that media driven misquote.... damn near planted to piss off the casual fan  & it worked

just because dude isn't flourishing doesn't mean he's not athletic. he is athletic, that not even arguable. how else wouuld you describe him...slow and lumbering?

You can say that he's not a good shooter, or a good finisher, or 'use' his athlecitism, but don't sit here and suddnly say that he "isn't" athletic.
