Batum isn't good anymore. Far from a "lockdown" defender.

But even if so, he's better at what a team like the thunder needs, which there's not much guys left out there for them to get to do such.

Batum gets to be a play maker in Portland. I don't think he gets the same chance playing alongside side KD and russ.

Oh and he's shooting like trash right now.

Not a fan of the ref loving, halfass defense playing, step back chucking SG version of kyrie aka james harden.

Can't deny his talent but I just don't like him.

Considering OKC got Waiters for nothing....was it really that bad of a move?

It was a low risk / high reward move.

If it works out....great. If it doesn't...it doesn't. It's not like they have anything to regret cause they didn't give anyone up.
Gave up a protected 1st round pick which allowed to Cleveland to trade for a rim protector,

it also added 5 mil to their salary, which put them in the tax.

Gave up some cap flexibility too I guess since Waiters makes 5m next season, also put us into the tax right now. Means we can also pursue FAs this summer through sign and trade or the smaller mle

If james harden isn't your favorite SG, you need new eyes

i've fought this fight. it's no use. people will look past him putting people on skates every game because the way he draws fouls. you and i both know however, that he's extremely crafty. i've seen him do things on court that just seem so out of the ordinary. his passing has jumped to another level this year too. the way he sees the floor is amazing.

Harden is drawing fouls because he's crafty. He brings the ball low and lifts it up under the arms of reaching defenders.

He often takes off of one foot which throws off the timing of shot blockers and the man guarding him. Harden is playing chess and your favorite SG is merely playing checkers.

well, and because he's absolutely undressing perimeter defenders at the 3 point line and leaving them in vulnerable positions. not his fault they can't stay with him and then reach to make up for it.

remember kids, playing defense starts with your feet

Brook Lopez in OKC is a good look to me. Dion not so much.... Always imagined them with a guy like Afflalo at SG giving them success. We'll see. I don't have any doubt that they'll start getting wins tho and be in the playoffs at like the 5th or 6th seed.
I've been wanting Afflalo on the Thunder wish we had a player like him.

They were hopin' Jeremy Lamb would be that guy...

If people don't wanna like James Harden I can completely understand why.

He's one of my favorite players in the league however.

Same way I don't care for Anthony Davis. Great player however.

What happens when they don't call the ticky tack fouls in the playoffs?

fair question, although i think we'll disagree on the percentage of his free throws that come on "ticky tack" fouls. having watched enough of him, i know that when his arm gets swiped he just tosses it up and it looks very unorthodox. it looks ticky tack because he's still able to get the shot up, but no bias, i honestly think it's because he's just that strong.

i agree he does get a fair share where he gets a slight bump and tosses the ball up, but a lot of his fouls are keeping the ball low and enticing defenders to reach, and them getting all forearms.

would anyone be shocked if i said harden is shooting about as well as steph curry from 3 this year?

steph: 112/277
harden: 105/278

it's a 2 man mvp race this year:
