god the nba is awesome. i wish my parents would have got me into sports as a young kid :smh:

why did they draft Exum for?

When you were as bad as Utah, You draft for talent not need. Essentially, they are trying to draft and keep as many young, productive assets as possible. They probably are banking on Alec coming around to being a productive two. Will he ever be worth that contract? Who knows, probably not but as it's been said before, Utah can't risk Burk blowing up and dipping on them. Lock him down, watch him flourish, and you have yourself a contract that doesn't look nearly as bad. Same with Hayward.

The Burks deal MUST be mentioned with the impeding rise in the salary cap. It's still an overpay, but that has to be considered.

Yep. And there is still a chance he can play up to his contract. He's just 23 years old and put together a solid season last year.

Two sides to every coin.

While you may feel Alec doesn't deserve that contract at all, the brain trust in Utah have been watching him closely and after last season, feel like he's someone who is young enough, and has enough potential to be a player in this league. It won't be a gross overpay if he becomes what they think he can become. He was at 14 a game last year and at his peak, he and hayward can be the wings for this team in the future. They honestly aren't going to attract better, so why not overpay a bit? Especially with the cap rising, this isn't a gross overpay by any means.

[Ballerific703] I told yall the Cavs weren't going undefeated....Lebron is a bum [/Ballerific703]

*What did Faried say about Josh Smith?

osh kosh bosh osh kosh bosh If two nights ago was any indication as to how Bosh is going to play this year (as far as shooting), he's going to dominate. No reason for him not to make around 150 3's this year.

I could see how Faried would annoy people on the court, but hard for me to be on Josh Smith's side. If he played with even half the energy and enthusiasm Faried does, he might actually be earning his contract.

Man if he played with that kinda energy Josh woulda made a lot of All Star teams.

How times have changed. Media went from killing Lebron, to protecting him.

First they love you. Then they hate you, then they love you again.
