I'm willing to bet good money that the Lakers are gonna land the 1st pick and grab Okafor.

Grizzlies, Rockets, Warriors, Blazers, Spurs, Clippers and Mavericks look like locks at this point unless a disaster strikes. So basically we have a 70ish game playoff for one playoff spot between the Pelicans, Suns, Kings and Thunder. Kings are better than most people thought, but I'm not sure if they can maintain (should be noted all 11 games they've played have been against the west). Davis might be able to drag the Pelicans all by himself to the playoffs. Suns are a mixed bag of awesomeness and confusion. And by the time Durant and Westbrook return, it might be too late for the Thunder because of the hole they'll be in.
Thunder will make it. This was yesterday, might not be long and they are only 3 games out right now i believe

if one of those teams you listed don't make the playoffs it will be because they just fell off or had a big injury. i don't think any of the Pelicans/Suns/Kings make it unfortunately.  All 3 would probably make it in the East

Durant is still a long way from returning. 12 footer from Durant doesn't usually hit that much rim.

How I wish there was actual rivalries in the NBA and superstars weren't bff. Would make the league so much better.......

They're not like the 80s or 90s rivalries, but there are a few rivalries or budding rivalries in the NBA now. I feel like Clippers v. Grizzlies and Clippers v. Warriors games are starting to take on rivalry like qualities. Those teams definitely don't like each other. I think GSW has some bad blood with the Rockets too. Bulls v. Heat was getting to be a rivalry. I expect that to get picked up now with Bulls v. Cavs.

I don't know that we'll ever get anything like old Celtics-Lakers or Pistons-Bulls rivalries, but there's definitely some teams in the league now with a healthy dislike for one another.

Dudes just get paid too much to treat the game like that, not to mention endorsement money. Pretty much impossible to have that hate in your heart when life is that good.

Not to mention youth leagues these days have these kids around the country meeting up face to face and becoming friends as teens

So Eric Bledsoe says that the Sixers would only beat Kentucky once in a 7 game series. Maybe that will kick off a new Suns-Sixers rivalry.

Rivalries aren't gone from the NBA. The tone has just shifted. Players are as competitive as ever.

Call me crazy...but I think the Sixers would easily beat those guys in five games.

Having had the pleasure to share the court with NBA players and overseas guys I can tell you, outside of being a 7'0 stiff, anybody who makes an NBA roster is really...REALLY good. The guy at the very end of the bench was probably the one of the best one or two players on a really good squad before getting to the NBA. Heck I've been taken to school by a guy who washed out of the NBA and made a career overseas.

Is there video of Jahlil Okafor doing this because if there's not I don't care about him

Not joking, but a video like this kinds of put into perspective how great of an athlete Blake Griffin is.

The stuff he was doing in this video is incredible. But someone like a BG, or a prime Amare were playing with this much explosion and athleticism in actual games and through people.

Agreed, just because players don't hate each other doesn't mean they don't care as much as before

Yeah, on the court, the competiveness is not much different. But the rules changes have made the game a bit less physical. Plus, teams come together in different ways now and guys want to play with other stars. That's different. But once teams start playing, they want to beat eachother as badly as ever.

Agreed.

People really do not realize how big the divide actually is from college to pro.

Most recently, on an individual level, take a look at Micheal Beasley, and what he was able to do in the collegiate ranks. He looked bigger, and that much stronger than everyone else on that level, but once he got to the pro level, things changed, and changed quickly.

I'm watching the rerun of the cavs and Denver game and man these commentators are annoying. I think it was Arthur who flopped to get a call and they were both complaining "these guys are men" but when Lebron misses an easy layup "that's the third time Lebron got body contact and no call" like c'mon

I think a large part of the argument for saying Kentucky could beat Philadelphia is that a lot of the Sixers are young(er) players as well so individuals just think that UK is more talented.

Team USA experience finally got Boogie playin defense

PS is DMC a more impactful defender than Anthony Davis? Who knows but the numbers are weird. pic.twitter.com/YRQq6H0erO

@YoungAjax I don't really understand it. SAC D is Top 6 with DMC on the court, NOP doesn't make Top 10 with Davis on.
