I don't feel sorry for Melo, not one bit. He cried his way way to NY to a mediocre team with old man Amare, just to finish up last every damn time he tries.

He was meant to play in the western conference. He was set up perfectly to dominate the west, wining division titles and all that. George Karl was the perfect coach for him.

He deserves every bit of basketball hardship he gets.

Today's bash is on Melo Cheerios?  Who cares.  Melo living that life, being paid, living in NY, having a line of kicks.  Who cares if they never win.

Has any team been so bad the prior year enough to get the 1st pick them all of a sudden become a 50 win team? Can only remember the Spurs they sat out Robinson the Bulls don't count cause they were gifted d rose and of course the current cavs also don't count.

melo should've kept his mouth shut and signed in the offseason instead of forcing ny to trade all of its assets for him. yeah those guys haven't done much since they left ny but they could've been packaged for another player.

Um, Knicks fans. You know, the people who buy tickets to Knicks game, and Knicks gear and Melo shoes and basically are responsible for him "being paid."

This. I always felt giving up Chandler, Mozgov, and that Italian kid plus those draft picks were too much.

I remember right before that trade, the Knicks were clicking on all cylinders. I was actually a fan of that team.

The whole "I want to go home" thing rubbed me the wrong way. Home being really Maryland not NY. For that reason I enjoy seeing the Knicks lose. While his real hometown team the Wizards thrive.

more golden than a team of bron, kyrie and love? doubtful.

Yes. Melo and bron would have probably fed off each other

But about the cavs smh @ the teams of the nba letting them dudes get on a roll now

Watch um have the best record in the east by all star break

I remember when the '03 class was up for extensions, and Bron, Wade and Bosh all took the shorter extension with less money allowing them to be FA's in 2010....

Melo said something like, "I'm from Baltimore...we don't leave money on the table." I knew right then and there that all the following decisions were strictly financial with no regards to team-building. That is the Baltimore mentality though. We take the 1st check they throw at us.

Can't knock his hustle. He's setting up a nice future for him & his fam...but he's laid his bed and has wasted 2 years of his prime on this team.

That made me cringe as well. Like bruh, you're from BMore. You thought that limelight in NY was meant for you, just to find out it wasn't.

I wish they would've never made that trade |I it hurts me, and I'm not even a fan of the Knicks.

i don't think they had enough to come out of the east but they definitely played a fun brand of basketball. if melo went there in the offseason, then that team could've made some noise. either way it's pointless living in the past.

Not everyone can win man. He clearly realizes that and is doing what he considers to be the smart thing

Y'all gotta remember he was a FA around lockout time and the new collective bargaining agreement. Financially speaking...it would have been pretty risky for him to wait til the offseason since everything was so up in the air at the time. I agree he should have waited it out...but I can't blame him for trying to lock that old max money from the previous CBA before the lockout.

I would love to see McGrady go to LA. ****, sign Iverson too. I wouldn't miss a single Lakers game.

I got a good question to pose. who had the better cast of teammates?

Kobe after shaq left and they traded caron butler for kwame brown or melo and this current knicks roster?

Tough question. I think I'd go with Kobe just because that era Lamar Odom was better than anyone on this current Knicks team.

Y'all acting like Kobe didn't have Smush Parker on his squad....that alone puts the Lakers over the top.
