Chris Broussard just said the Knicks plans are to go after KD in 2016. They may not go after anyone this offseason. It's 2010 all over again. Liberty > Knicks. The Mecca 2015

I knew the Cavs lost last night but didn't know it was to the 76ers. Happy to see Cleveland struggle. Payback for hearing "I'm coming home" over and over last summer. I hate that song. It's up there with "I'm the man".
overwhelming truth in this psot from start to finish. overwhelming. take this rep.

man, im so tired of lebron blowing up teams. if youre on lebrons team and youre not an allstar, your spot isnt safe. dude has ZERO loyalty to anybody. i actually feel bad for waiters the same way i felt bad for wiggins. hopefully he goes somewhere else and has a ridiculous year.

Anyone with cap space is going after KD. Think about it...the Knicks will have a ton of flexibility with their money. You'll probably see tweets from Broussard about them coveting guys like LMA, Gasol, etc.

Personally, I don't see them landing a big fish like that.

The Knicks better not have a KD or bust mentallity. They pulled this in 2010 thinking the city would attract everyone. Great city but modern athletes will get shine wherever they play. KD is the type of guy IMO who's going to a place that has the best chance to win period.

If I'm Phil Jackson... I'd look to trade Melo to the Pistons for Greg Monroe and a 1st round pick if they're willing.

greg monroe and derick favors are two guys who put up decent stats but i just dont feel like they are guys who will ever contribute on a contender

Knick fans, just remember, Lakers had tons of cap room plus a top 7 pick this past off season, we saw how that went.

Not saying Phil isn't making the right moves but we'll see if he can land some legit talent to put around Melo.

Lakers had the 7th pick and Byron Scott. The Knicks are going to have the 4th pick at worst - Phil Jackson - Melo who doesn't have the age + injury concerns of Kobe - some actual roleplayers (Calderon, Early, Hardaway Jr). Not saying it's way better but the Lakers literally had literally nothing but a grouchy Kobe coming off serious surgery going into last offseason. Knicks are in a much better spot. Not to mention, that Laker draft pick didn't play one full game. Laker future might be looking better if Randle was showing flashes.

I wonder if the Knicks actually believe that they have a chance at Durant

This.

Why would Durrant go there (and not DC or stay in OKC?) are they banking on just because its new york and the garden? Phil better have a really good sales pitch

How much different is the 2013 Draft if there was a re-do today?

1. Giannis
2. Gobert
3. Oladipo? MCW? Muhammad?

Is there any chance Phil tries to move Melo?

Why would he give him 100M just to trade him?

Precisely. He wasn't pressured into giving Melo that deal. People forgot about Phil if they think he of all people can't build around Melo. Perfect challenge for him too.

Yes, I know he's not the coach, but the point remains all the same. When he's done people are going to say, Phil only won Rings because he had Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, and you might as well add Melo. I believe he will get another with Melo, even with the East getting stronger.

waiters is going to be a bust for OKC, he will never be a sixth man simply because he thinks he is better than that.  We tried to do that in Cleveland but he has a 50 IQ and I believe he honestly thinks he has more talent than lebron and kyrie.  Durant and Westbrook are a poor mans Lebron and Kyrie...I already see westbrook and deon bumping heads

I don't think he hurts the Thunder coming off the bench if they go ahead and Trade Reggie now. We don't have any scorers who demand the ball off the bench so Waiters could chuck at will.

I heard they are planning on starting Waiters though.

I agree. I'm sure NY does have that appeal to a degree especially for a superstar like KD or Melo because of the off the court endorsement possibilities, but along with that comes tremendous pressure from media, outrageous cost of living (Players have to have a home in the city and near the practice facility) as well as being a part of a rebuilding process with an inexperienced coach. I don't see the appeal of signing with the Knicks right now. We'll see though because if they land Okafor that's a game changer.

No homer pick but I would have taken Oladipo 1 back then. I didn't see Wade coming back in the day and thought Oladipo could have been that sleeper to be great and exceed expectation.

I forgot OKC has Lamb. Why not just let him get the 6th man spot. Not explosive enough of a bench scorer?

Dude said KD and Russ are a poor man's Lebron and Kyrie though.

Bruh, you need Jesus. Go to Church, now, and give your heart to JESUS man.
