if the clippers get rid of deandre and blake for dwight they could bring back the dwight-hedo front court which has finals experience

The positives you get with trading Blake Griffin away for Dwight don't outweigh the consequences which would also result on the offensive end.

The defensive abilities of Howard don't make the Clippers a better team than with Blake/Jordan and their inferior defense.

Stop side stepping the argument by comparing DJ's defense to Dwight's

Exactly. Nobody is saying DJ is as good as Dwight. Nor should he be, really. One was the #1 overall pick and one was drafted in the 2nd round. What we're saying is that DJ's close enough that there would have been no real benefit for the Clippers to trade Blake for Dwight. It's pretty simple, really.

Booker's foul last night wasn't even that bad.

It wasn't too bad, but Blake's reaction was more a result of a buildup of hits to the upper body/neck/head/face he's endured for the past 3 years or so. Booker tomahawked Blake up high, wasn't a flagrant 2 but definitely a flagrant 1
I didn't think it was a flagrant. Seemed like Booker made a play on the ball to me. Not sure what anyone expects to happen with two 6'9 bulls going full speed.

You can make a play on the ball and still end up smacking the hell out of someone, excessively. Which is exactly what took place. Again, he hit Blake in the upper body not the ball

Plus, the Dwight for Blake deal was discussed 3 years ago, when Dwight was still with the Magic. Neither the Clippers nor Rockets would consider it now. So, it's really a pretty pointless debate.

Yeah, I'd take my chances with Blake/Jordan than Hawes/Howard. Not even sure financially if Hawes/Howard/Jordan would be possible

And a guy is never going to get the benefit of the doubt when he hits someone around the head/neck, which Booker did to Blake. That's gets called a flagrant 9.5 out of 10 times.

Plus I don't trust Dwight's back man

I don't get what them being big and going full speed at each other have to do with this

I mean, just because both guys are huge and going full speed, it aint mean an excessive foul needs to take place. Like dude said, this aint football

This is b/ball not football
Exactly what I've tried to tell people in the past when teams like the bulls or Indy would try and foul bron hard and grab him around his shoulders and **** to prove there not scared of the heat. The responses in here would be if you think that's a hard foul your a weak person. Or Bron was just overreacting it's basketball everybody gets grabbed by the shoulders while there trying to jump in the air

People ain't paying enough attention to Toronto man.

I got them as the 3rd or 4th seed.

Lowry going to continue to be an All Star, Jonas looks improved, Amir gonna Amir, Ross looking improved, strong bench with James Johnson, Vasquez, Lou Williams.

A lot to like there.

Lou Williams seems to be lighting it up. Should be nice off the bench.. Looking forward to Jonas evolving

With that said, still sleeping on them and Demar "All-NBA" DeRozan. I have them noticeably below Cleveland, Chicago and Washington. Would have them lower even than Indy with a healthy George.

Have TOR on par with Miami, Charlotte, Brooklyn and for now slightly ahead of the KnicksTape and the Hawks

I'm taking them over anyone who isn't The Cavs, Bulls, Wizards. They're deeper than the Wizards too IMO but Wizards have more talent at the top.

Still don't like DeRozan but hey you can't have it all, at least he draws fouls when he's not thinking that he's prime Kobe.

Yeah, Toronto should be no worse than the 4 seed in the East.

Eh, they have Miami, Charlotte, Brooklyn to deal with. That's not such a sure shot guys, you'll see. KnicksTape and Hawks also lingering

Maybe Charlotte, but I think both BK and Miami have major health questions with some key players.

You think they will be better than BK this year ( assuming Brook Lopez aint wheelchair bound)?

I think you gotta account for MIA too. They gonna have drop off from Bron , but they have chemistry
2 all stars ( I dont like counting bosh, but for argument sake) and Deng aint bum.
