Why would you press up on wade? You'd leave yourself vulnerable to v cuts for easier looks. Just sag off him, and keep your eyes on him. No sense pressing up on a poor shooter/above average driver
show me where i said i would press up on wade.

your just putting simple concepts into complicated *** terms.  the bottom line is if I'm guarding wade I'm not giving him any more space than i would one of the shooters you mentioned

Wades not a poor mid range shooter tho.
He aint Dirk either. You don't treat him like TA & give him a wide open jumper, but you give him a bit of a cushion, enough to where you can still get a hand up.

But you still want him taking jumpers so you fall back.

There's levels to staying with your man. You said you'd treat wade off the ball the same way you would Stephen curry. Thats beyond laughable. Take the L on this one.
yea cause wade and curry both have the speed and handles to go right around if i press up on them.  now a player like korver or allen i might press up on a bit more.  ill take the L when u stop misinterpreting my words

We're not talking about when they have the ball. We're talking about guarding them off the ball. You do know that right?

Kobe has never been a media darling and it shows when people discuss him in the media. I just think of all the times chuck has been on TNT suckin off Lebrons style of play and talking about how fun it is and how it's winning basketball, while always trying to downplay Kobe's game as if that same game hasn't gotten his team to 7 NBA finals and one of the highest regular season winning & playoff winning % in NBA history.

Bron can't shoot. He's won 4 mvps by running over people.

Lmao.

no where did i say he cant shoot...

no one can intelligently say that he has or is willing to work for the offensive repertoire that kobe has. bron is good, but he relies too much on athleticism to score. athleticism fades, skill does not.

yea but trying to recover to a wade or curry would be pointless since a quick move and they would go right around you.  which is why they r guarded like the shooters and u don't leave them in the first place.

You're missing the point. You don't leave Steph because he's deadly from 3 and has a quick release. You do leave wade, and you dont close out hard because he's a horrible 3 point shooter.

Teams are guarding them the same, and it doesn't make sense because they play such different styles.

lebron will do fine in his later years as long as he stays healthy (knock on wood). his shooting is only going to get better and he's working on his post game

but IF there is a huge drop off once he loses his athleticism there will be articles about how his old age drop off discredits everything he has done in his career

leave wade and he's going right backdoor on you.  makes perfect sense anyone who's a threat off the ball u want to stay with.

When Lebron gets older, he's going to move down to PF and cook. I could see him reinventing his game and still being a MAJOR force even when he slows down. His strength, BBIQ, shooting, passing and hands won't go away.

he's already worked on his turnaround.  it was money last night

Or you play off of him, and keep your eyes on him? Just dare him to shoot 3s?

i guess u could but i personally wouldn't.  wade can actually make them from time to time as someone else mentioned and wades the type of player u do not want getting hot.  for most scorers all they need to see is a few go in and their confidence goes way up.  wouldn't take that chance with a player of wades caliber.

Also while i'm on the subject of Downplaying another player often Linked to Lebron. I want to mention D-Wade prior to him Joining with Lebron.

Considering both were in pretty much the same situation for most of there years prior to MIA... Why is it that people are rewriting history and making it seem as if Lebron left Cleveland to go "carry" an MIA team. D-Wade was VERY WELL a top 5 player in the L at the time he came.

27.8, 7 & 7 on 49% were Lebrons Averages coming prior to the Heat
25.1 6.6 & 5 on 48% were Wade Averages prior to Lebron on the Heat.

Add the fact that d-Wade had already won a ring by being the #1 option on his team & being known as one of the best finishers in the NBA, so i find a lot of things funny about this revisionist history that they have going on here.

During NBA Open court people were arguing Penny & Grant Hill over Wade, Reggie Miller, pretty much downplaying his career. Yet those same people were calling Lebron one of the best players of All time at that very same point. Yet Wade puts up similar #'s, has more playoff success than Bron in that period and somehow he hasn't done enough to even be considered for the next 10 greatest?

The way people try and revisit this subject now really makes it as if Wade was a Luol Deng kind of player or something... prior to Lebron getting there he was on pace to have statically one of the better careers we ever saw from the two guard spot.

He hasn't hit 30% of his 3s in 3 years. You know how horrible that is? I'll live with wade shooting lightly contested 3s

with a player as good as dwade you're not going to bait him into shooting 3s, if he is more comfortable with mid range shots hes going to get himself in position to shoot midrange shots
